Episode 7 is here and it's all about our favourite cool dad Yoshinari Ogawa.

For this episode we watched Ogawa vs Takayama for the GHC Heavyweight Championship from back in '02 and Ogawa vs HAYATA for the GHC Jr. Heavyweight Championship from early 2020.  Both matches rule and you should watch them!

Match 1: Katsuhiko Nakajima vs Kotaro Suzuki (15/10/2009)

Bonus recommendations from Chris:

Hello! Episode 5 recording had to be rescheduled so in the meantime here's our audio of us watching the matches we'll discuss if you want to watch along with us. This is also a preview of some of what will be available going forwards on our new patreon. Please check it out!

Match 1: Katsuhiko Nakajima vs Kotaro Suzuki (15/10/2009)

This episode is all about the N-1 Victory, baby!

We watch Kawada vs Marufuji (13th April 2010) and Kiyomiya vs Mochizuki (18th September 2020), talk a bit about everyone's history as well as our general thoughts and feelings about the tournament, gush over junior drama, and relegate conversation about another company into it's own brand new perfectly delineated segment. It's seamless and flawless, a perfect podcast episode.

Thanks for bearing with us with the late episode! Niklas got sick and then AJ got lazy but we got it done!

Next episode should feature an exciting guest as we talk even more about the junior division, so get hype for that!

This episode we talk about Katsuhiko Nakajima and how he broke our hearts.

Correction: AJ says the KENTA match was Nakajima's first big singles title match in NOAH, but they were thinking of a previous match between the two for the GHC Junior Heavyweight Championship in 2009.

In this episode we're taking a look at Kenoh and talking about his history.

We watched his recent double gold dash epic against Go Shiozaki, and a jr. heavyweight tag title match against Yoshinari Ogawa & Zack Sabre Jr. earned by winning the 2014 NTV G+ Cup Junior Heavyweight Tag League with his partner Hajime Ohara.

In this episode we start our journey into Pro Wrestling Noah, both it's history and it's present, as we watch Misawa (c) vs. Kobashi (1st March '03) and Shiozaki (c) vs. Marufuji (5th Aug '20) which are both available on youtube.

We experimented with cutting in clips of us watching along with the first match too but decided not to for the second due to audio issues, so please let us know if you like this style of commentary mixed with discussion, or if you have any thoughts/suggestions/corrections for us.
