About the host:
Aileen is a freelancer who has transitioned from being a full time employee for a decade to a creative entrepreneur by using her knowledge and skills to provide services virtually. After a couple of self reinventions, she has finally learned what it means to be doing something she loves while getting paid for it. She believes that we have what it takes to pursue our passion while making a living, if we only understand our reason for being and if we are intentional in the way we live our lives, so we can stop chasing and start living.
In this episode, I had a catch up with another close friend, Ysh Ramos. Ysh, would describe herself as someone with so many different interests and creative pursuits in life. Taking Communication Arts as a degree, Ysh, pursued photography after her studies but found herself wanting to experience more of the creative career. She now focuses on content planning and creation as she creates YouTube videos, which she would say her creative outlet and also a way to master her multimedia skills, all the while navigating a quarter life crisis and defining what success and happiness looks like. This conversation I had with Ysh is just so raw and unfiltered in a sense that we got the chance to talk about vulnerabilities, reinventions, and just how life could be full of twists.

In this episode, I had the chance to sit down with a chingu or the korean term for a friend. Alice Lee is a Korean Artist, Blogger and Business Owner based in Incheon, Korea. I met Alice way back in 2016 when we were both working at the same call center in Manila. We talked all things about her love for art, how this passion of her which used to be sleeping as Alice would recall, has awaken and has brought so much joy and purpose as she currently navigates this exciting phase of her life which is managing her art business. In this episode, I had a catch up with Jonah Garcia, one of my closest friends in high school and college. Jonah is a pre-school “educarer” [educator + carer] based in Singapore. We went down memory lane as Jonah revisited how she started her journey in this field. We also tapped on the following:

This is a bonus episode wherein I answered questions submitted through The Podcast Managers PH Facebook Group. In this episode, I shared how I got into virtual assistance, how I was able to get clients without relying on any freelancing websites like UpWork and Fiverr, how I niched down to podcast management and how I was able to raise my rates.
