Sorry about missing last week but we took a little Christmas break. We are back now and hoping to entertain again. This episope we chose to talk about life changes. We thought this was better than resolutions because those always get broken. check back with us later in the year and see if we are keeping up with our changes. Merry Christmas. It is once again almost Christmas so here is our 2022 Christmas Extravaganza. This year we searched out some more traditions from other countries that might be different than what we are used to. So are very interesting. We close this year's Christmas pod with a couple of scary ghost stories. (Just all seems like versions of Krampus) I will say that the last one is kind of gruesome. Well, we hope you enjoy this one and we would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy Holidays.

So, I named this week Christmas traditions, but we do talk about more than that. We talk about some traditions we have in our household which leads me to one of my favorite things and that is Christmas lights. I love driving around looking at all the Christmas lights. So, we talk a little bit about the origins of the Christmas lights. Then what would Christmas be without a nice tree. So, we also discuss the origins of the Christmas tree. So, this week we are sort of all over the place. We talk about the great smog of London since it happened in 1952 on the day, we are recording this. Also, the day that we are recording is December 5 which in some places it is Krampus Nacht. Now to see what that is you will have to give it a listen. This week we do something a little different. Noah's Pops (my dad) turned 80 this past weekend. We decided it would be neat to look back at some of the big innovations over the last 80 years. Sorry for missing a week we have been spending the week passing the flu around our household. Now we are much better, a little coughy but better. So, this week we tell some top ten Halloween things. This week we journey to a ghost town just outside of Selma, Alabama. The name of the place is Cahawba. This is where the first capital for the state of Alabama was located. Now there is just about nothing left. This is also the place of one of the 13 Alabama Ghosts stories from Kathryn Tucker Windam. See what we have to say about this and the ghost story. We also stopped by a very neat looking cemetery in Selma, Alabama. It is the old Live Oak Cemetry, and it looks like something out of a different time with it Spanish moss and old oak trees.
