In a day and age when America leaves much to be desired in the way of a free, fair society, what can we be proud of? Taken in the perspective of people from other countries, and an American who has spent extended periods of time in foreign countries, away from home, I talk about the things I appreciate about the U.S. now - even in the current climate.

What's the big deal with speaking up and saying how you feel? Some people seem adverse to it - they'd rather move in silence; some people ask, "Why even waste your time?" but in the spirit of debate and good social behavior, I think it's worth doing. Do you avoid sharing your opinion because it isn't "polite" or it isn't "your place"? I think you're wrong. It's your birthright. Learn more on this episode of _________
In this episode, I rant about an argument I recently got into on twitter. Someone tried to tell me that I didn't have the authority to speak on an issue of public interest. I'm here to tell you that no one can make you shut up and sit down. If you're gunna argue what I've said, fine, but you better have valid points that negate mine because I will not be told to shut up, by anyone - and you don't have to accept that either. Come correct or get checked.

In this episode, I voice my issues about being polite, especially when you repress your anger in order to save face or avoid an uncomfortable situation. It gets a little long-winded and conceptual in places, but if you hang in there, you might see yourself in some of it.

What is a crucial conversation? A discussion with someone you don't agree with when the stakes are high, especially when emotions are involved... something we could all be better at and start practicing immediately.

Following the racism series, we hear more from Nick Cheatham about America's more recent history of racial divide.
In this episode, we dive into America's history, specifically pertaining to African American rights and movements. To better understand what's happening today, we have to first understand our past. We will look at events with a big-picture mindset, keeping in mind the sociology we covered in the last episode. Share this with a friend and continue having these important conversations!
Let's take a look at current American issues from a sociological perspective. How can people be racist and believe they're actually in the right? Or on the flip side, why are people of color always getting these extra programs to help them out and they're still complaining? How come we can't even understand each other? These are just a couple of the questions I confront in this episode. The WAM Pod on Insta: @wampod
I'm back to talk about the past few months and my struggle to "doe normaal". I've not been able to speak up, and it's affected me in a lot of ways. I wonder... is it really better to stay in the lines, to behave? Screw that! Let's discuss.
