Lowell Observatory is teaming up with Meteor Crater on Monday to offer viewers and visitors the opportunity to learn about asteroids and planetary defense. World Asteroid Day takes place on June 30th due to the Tunguska event of 1908, and Lowell as well as Meteor Crater are preparing to raise public awareness about asteroids and how, internationally, these events are monitored and prevented.
