But here we are, back again-- and in this epsiode David and Cody break down the week 8 matchups that just happened. Did we learn anything new? Who is on the rise, and who is declining? Who took a bad beat, and who was lucky to walk away from the week 8 scoring fest with a win?

Next up, our cohosts break down the blockbuster trade between Brad and Cody-- basically Travis Kelce for Ja'marr Chase and Jonathan Taylor (more or less). David weighs in as commish with some objective insight and why the trade isn't truly unbalanced, and who assumes all the risk.

Finally our intrepid duo take a look at the games coming up in week 9, briefly previewing each contest and making some predictions.

David and Cody discuss the implications of everything that happened in week six, including dissecting the dire trend of low scoring fantasy games, a reflection of the low amount of points scored in the real world NFL.

After that brief intro, Cody and David go matchup by matchup, looking at some surprising outcomes, discussing specific player performance, and how each manager must be feeling at this point in the season. 

The two examine just how narrow the difference is between the teams in places three through nine, and how one game can rearrange the standings in dramatic fashion. David and Cody offer a brief take on Tahj's Power Ranking, with even David admitting how confusing it was for him to both lose AND have under 70 points (lowest in the league for the week)... and still climb a spot in the rankings (but he WILL take it). 

David closes out the episode with an apology, a metaphor, and an explanation for The Great Mariner Text Quake.

Our intrepid cohosts kick off the episode talking a little about the Mariners and their Postseason chances, then discuss how the huge difference being 3-2 is versus being 2-3 after entering week 5 sitting at 2-2. 

After winning the first three weeks of their head-to-head league pick 'em, Cody has lost two weeks in a row to David-- this week, Cody picked 5 out of 6 correctly, while David went a perfect 6 for 6. David details what Cody needs to do for losing the pick 'em this week, and while we're on the topic: Isn't David a handsome and charming man? A prolific hunter; with exquisite taste in spirits and a VAST breadth of knowledge? We're truly blessed to have him as a commissioner, a friend, and most importanly as a mentor and role model. 

Next the two walk through the matchups and discuss a few key players that made a difference for their teams, and what some might need to do to right the ship. On this episode David reveals the results of a brief poll he took of the league: Which 4-0 teams have the best chance of making the championship, and which undefeated team has the best chance of winning it all? And: Which of the teams currently ranks 7-12 have the best shot at making the playoffs? The two take a look at the movement in Tahj's Power Rankings, then disect the BUSY week of trading (and the show was recorded before the biggest trade of the week, so you won't hear our thoughts on That One-- so big it has it's own name). David reveals who was the winner of last week's Full-Glass/Hard Pass contest between Loden and Cody, then the quickly work their way through the slate of matchups.

Commissioner David kicks off the episode by sharing some historical context for the year we are having, including the tidbit that the league has NEVER had three teams begin 4-0. He also points out that two of the three undefeated teams have historically low points being scored against them-- can their streak be sustainable?

On today's episode, David and Cody are joined by the manager of the 4-0 BILLY RIGGINS squad, Jake Loden. They kick off the show with just a little baseball chatter- at the time of the recording the Mariners were on the verge of clinching a postseason wild card spot, while Cody's Blue Jays had already earned their ticket in, so they quickly discuss the likelihood of the two facing each other in the opening round. 

After the baseball talk, the three tackle the week four matchups in the World Class Rookies League. All three weigh in on winners and loser, while David tossed some scenarios at Jake and Cody who could choose to agree with a "Full Glass," or disagree with a "Hard Pass." Along the way Cody explains the meaning behind David's new team name, "Loden's Green Boxer Briefs," they talk about the new manager in the league a bit, answer some league submitted questions, plus discuss which 4-0 teams are the best at that level and rank the 0-3 teams as well. Buckle up, folks this is a long one! We kick off the episode by talking about the recent drama that rattled the league. Comissioner David offers his perspective of what went down, and explains the actions he took as commissioner. Please be warned: David was 3BD (three bourbons deep, Loden), so some explicit language was incorporated. David ends by posing the question: why do some of us (himself included) take this silly little game so seriously?

Comissioner David kicks off the episode by laying out the INCREDIBLY SIMPLE DETAILS (THAT ARE IMPOSSIBLE TO GET CONFUSED BY) about a proposal: should the league change its payout structure from winner takes all to a payout structure in which the winner receives two-thirds of the pot and the second place finisher takes home one-third? OR should the league stay status quo? David shares some frustration about the response so far-- but you have until KICKOFF TONIGHT to vote. 

Next David and Cody tackle each and every matchup-- David offers up some BUY or SELL scenarios related to each contest and Cody gets to choose. They close out the episode by analyzing some of the trade chatter and try to figure out if anything is actually going to happen.
