People with Type 2 diabetes have a higher risk of heart disease and stroke and despite advances in care, cardiovascular diseases are the top causes of death. Added to this, is that the relationship between diabetes and cardiovascular diseases is not always well understood.

To help people know more, for World Diabetes Day 2020 on Saturday November 14, The National and leading pharmaceutical company Boehringer Ingelheim, hosted an expert discussion exploring the link between Type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular diseases. For World Diabetes Day our expert panel includes:
