World Gone Geek

We have an old fashioned film discussion with Ed Hartman, composer, who has helped bring a lost silent film from 1938, by a then 20 year old Robert H. Lyford (Walt Disney Pictures) into the spotlight! Supplying a brand new soundtrack for the film, Ed has become somewhat of an expert on Lyford, and we'll discuss the film, it's re-discovery and Ed's career as a composer all before "As The Earth Turns" makes a TCM debut at midnight October 31st on Turner Classic Movies!

Get in that Halloween spirit and join us as we obsess over pop culture and CANDY with the proprietor of Fear's Confections, Cassandra Fear!

From his website:

"Hailing from the Scandinavian Peninsula country of Norway, Rocky Kramer is truly a modern day Viking, poised to take no prisoners as he conquers the hearts, minds and souls of rockers around the world! Armed with a guitar, this graduate of Metal 101 constitutes a triple threat as a composer, vocalist and formidable musician."

Rocky Kramer is on the show this week! We'll discuss his passion for music, his story and more!

Well, we were supposed to have a guest this episode, but due to some email issues on our end, they never received the communications about the details... so we talked about Marvel's Disney+ series "What If...?" in anticipation of this week's finale! Spoilers if you haven't watched the series yet... but we'll weigh in episode by episode on what was revealed and discuss theories about the finale!

This week we are joined by five friends who dodge responsibilities for a couple of hours every week to slay monsters and crack wise. We'll chat about Role-Playing games, Pathfinder (which they play) and how actual-play podcast "Roll for Intent" came to be with the cast themselves! We'll also play a little bit of a game borrowed from a quiz found at Skybound Comics called "Dungeons & Dragons Monster or Quaint European Village?"

We are joined by prolific actor, KURT YUE, who might just be one of the only actors to appear in three different Marvel Universes (other than Stan Lee, himself, of course!)... find out more about his career, stories from the sets and what it's like being a working actor on our next episode!

Join the gang as we discuss our reactions to the premiere episodes of Marvel's "What If...?" and the theatrical premiere of "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings." Is the new Marvel animated show as good as other Marvel shows? Is "Shang-Chi" now the greatest film in the MCU? Listen to the takes of Jeff, Yuta and Allea in our premiere episode of Season 2!

We are so grateful you have all stuck with us through the ups and downs of our first season. We think we're finally getting our format figured out just in time for our season finale, :P That said, we wanted to go out with a bang and we did! We welcome FREE DAPS, a hysterical freestyle hip-hop comedy group our of Orlando who will tell us how they do what they do, why they do it... and do some awesome Freestyle bars about Allea and concluding with a Rap Battle between Marvel and DC... don't miss it!

Follow Free Daps on Twitch for their twice weekly shows:
