As We start Easter week, Pastor Alan looks at the account of Bartimaeus receiving his sight. Looking at the transformation from one state to another, and the responsibilities that Bartimaeus's new situation put upon him because her removed the clothes that identified him as a beggar. God wants to to remove the clothes that identify our old ways and for us to identify as being touched by Him.

The speed that the Kingdom is advancing is increasing, this is possible because of our ability to trust and work with each other.

* She was a notable (KJV), well to do (NIV)Remarkable , outstanding, significant, marked, uncommon, exceptional Woman.

* She was ‘Proactive’ & Persuasive’ …looking for ways to be a part of God’s plan.

* She was hungry for God’s Presence, His anointing.

* She was ‘conscious’ of God’s presence. She was aware of the blessings that come from giving God time.

* She made room for Him.  Maybe theres a gift, maybe you need to spend more time, maybe you pray.

* She didn’t take ‘no’ for an answer – she ‘contended’ for the presence of God.

* She did more than she ‘needed’ and went the extra mile!

Just because you exhibit the right characteristics, and have made the perfect room for God – with all the right furniture - doesn’t mean everything will always go to plan.The devil will fight you all along the way - BUT – it does mean that no matter how bad things get, you will always have a room to go to in order to get your answer/solution/victory.

When you make room for the Holy Spirit. You know where that room is. You can always get in that room. God will restore every time you get in the room!

Miracles happen! Healings happen in that room!

God is at work, hard at work tending for his creation, his people, his children. He was faithful to individuals, then to an entire nation, then the whole world. He is devoted to us! He even restores Job and blessed the latter part of his life more than the former part. He goes with us, he delivers us and protects us.

A pen without the protection of its lid will dry out and stop being useful. Food that is left out and not stored in its proper protective way will go bad and could make us sick. A turtle without the protection of its shell will quickly die. All these things are supposed to have their protecting just like we where not designed to live without Gods protection.

God has a purpose and a process for a our children

Our job as parents is to help, train, and teach our children:

* Teach them to pray

* Teach them to proclaim

* Teach them to thank
