Dream Star Fighting Marigold are embarking on their third year of existence in 2026, and have cultivated a stellar active roster with the likes of Mayu Iwatani, Utami Hayashishita, Mai Sakurai and Miku Aono all spearheading the company moving forward. However, one of the most exciting pieces of the Marigold puzzle is the ‘Young Marigold’ portion of the roster, with incredibly talented youngsters coming through to lead the company in years to come.
Part of that Marigold youth movement is Komomo Minami, a rookie whose debut for Stardom was curtailed by injury, but would ultimately debut for Marigold in June of 2024 against MIRAI. Since then, she’s developed into one of the most exciting members of the Marigold family, a beloved babyface who is challenging for singles gold and putting on fantastic matches against the top members of the roster. Coming off the back of title matches for the 3D Trios titles and against Mayu Iwatani for the Superfly Championship, we were lucky enough to catch a few words with Komomo to chat about her history, her present and her future ambitions!
