Ganapati Subramanyam and the mango. The one who goes around the world first will get this divine fruit. Ganapati teaches us that parents are the world.
A reminder, Our Gods like to have fun. They are so fun loving. Who said we have to be serious and have a sullen face when we pray to God. It can be a lot of fun to love and think about God.
Ganeshji wanted to come and meet you all again Children. So we said, ok Ganeshji, we will tell a Ganesh story again.
There was this little town where everyone loved Ganeshji. They would always sing and make yummy food for Ganapati. Not only this, Ganapati would come and play with them all the time.
The mothers would chant shlokas for Ganpati and the children would sing songs. They were all so happy.
Song - Come Oh Bulky stomach Ganapati
Shloka - Ajam Nirvikalpam (2 para done)
But there was a slight problem, there was this Big Gaj Mukh Asur, who would trouble them all the time. They really did not like him. He looked like Ganpati, but his was not kind like Ganpati he was mean and rude. One day he went to fight with Ganapati. He went straight to Kailash.
There at his home, Ganeshji was preparing to sing for all the children who have had their birthdays from January till June and also for those who will have their birthday in July and August.
Song - Janamdin midam (Sanskrit birthday song and happy birthday to you cha cha cha)
Now, Gaj Mukh Asur kept shouting and calling Ganpati to fight, there was a fight alright. A sweet fight, where enemies became friends forever, and Gaj Mukh Asur, become the loving Mooshak. The vehicle of Ganapati.
Now now, there is a difference between a mouse and a Mooshak. It is not the same. If you see a mooshak, remember that Ganapati, yes our dear Ganesh is near by.
The morals are;
⁃ We can not make anyone like us by force.
⁃ To be loved by others, we should first learn to give and love.
⁃ It is best to try and avoid a fight.
⁃ However, if we can’t avoid it, we should be quick to forgive and become friends again.
The most important,
⁃ Ganeshji, our dear Ganapati loves us and the minute we call him and say Ganpati Bappa Moriya he will come running to meet us.
Our Gods like to have fun. They are so fun loving. Who said we have to be serious and have a sullen face when we pray to God. It can be a lot of fun to love and think about God.
Today saw krishna having so much fun with his friends. He had a butter bash. We saw how he stole butter from Gopi Aunty’s house.
He ate butter and he fed butter to his friends the Gopa and the Monkey. The mess they made was too much. The human pyramid was awesome.
Oh, but he got caught and Gopi Aunty took him to his mothers, Yashoda maiya. But there was magic, when we chant the Shloka/Mantras below, there can be magic in the air.
- Shri Krishna Govinda Hare Murari hai naath Narayan vasudeva
- Om name Bhagwat vasudevaye
Krishna, magically disappeared and went home, and pretended to be fast asleep. Gopi aunty was holding a cow and her son. Oh what fun.
The people form Gokul thought us that to make Krishna come - We have to keep singing - Krishna Krishna Krishan
Song
- Gopi goes Krishna Krishna Krishna
- Kids go Krishna Krishna Krishna
The morals are,
- Everything we have belongs to krishna - if he takes it away we can not call it stealing
- If we keep remembering or call out his name - Krishna will come
- Krishna loves us and always takes care of us
Kuber, the God of wealth wanted to show- off his wealth and puffed up with ego he invited everyone. Shivji sent Ganapati ji to the Party.
Ganeshji - Ganapatiji went to the party and he wanted to eat all the yummy food. When he became unstoppable, and started eating everything, all got scared and started praying and chanting.
- Shuklambara dharm Vishnu (Shloka)
Still he did not stop so the called out loudly for the greatest devotee of Ganeshji - Bappa Moriya.
Mantra
- Ganapati bappa moriya, mangal murti morya
- Moriya re bappa moriya re
But, Bappa moriya did not come to help them and calm Ganapatiji down, as he knew that Ganeshji was teaching Kuber a lesson.
Finally, God Kuber rushed to Kailash and got a hand full of puffed rice filled with parvatiji’s love. This made Ganeshji full and they all sang for him and he fell a sleep.
- Single Tusk Ganapati Ek Santa (Bhajan/Song)
Bappa Moriya came and cuddled little Ganeshji and dropped him home to Shivji, Ma Parvathiji and brother Kartikeya
So, the morals are,
- When god is kind to us and gives us wealth, we should not use it to show off, but to give and share with everyone
- The greatest wealth is love. The heart filled with love is the richest heart in the world.
- If we don’t learn to be good ourselves, god has many ways of teaching us a lesson.
Today we told a story about how Krishna Photocopies himself and to tell the children about Krishna’s promise that he will always protect us, we chanted the Shloka below,
- Sarva Dharman Parityajya (Shloka)
When the children and the cows were sad that, Old Brahmaji had taken them, they sang out for Krishna to save them.
- Tara hai Sara Zamana prabhu humko bhi taro (Bhajan/Song)
When ever we chant the mantras, Krishna listens and he is always there for us,
Mantra
- Krishna Krishna Krishna
- Hare Ram Hare Rama, Rama Rama hare hare. Hare Krishna Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna hare hare.
Story:
It tells us how when Brahmaji stole away the boys and cows, Shri Krishna multiplied himself and became all the boys and cows. He played all their roles for 1 year.
Brahmaji later realised his mistake and came down to apologise. This beautiful leela of the Lord is just mesmerising.
So, the morals are,
- Krishna is always there to rescue us, he is our best friend and take care of us no matter what.
- God can come to meet us in any form and any time.
- He can turn into anyone, so we have to be kind to all and loving to all.
- No matter how much we know, God always knows more.
To applaud Haumanji’s Strength, Brahmaji, Indraji and Pavandev all counted his strengths
- Buddhirbalam yaso dhairyam (Shloka)
Every time Hanumanji flew like a super hero, everyone sang for him, they were so happy.
- Victory to our super Hero (Bhajan/Song)
Whenever we hear Hanuman, we have to shout out loud;
- Bajrang Bali ki Jai (Mantra)
Story:
It tells us how Hanumanji was born to his Ma Anjani and Papa Kesari. He was given by Pavan Dev. A strong super hero, who is kind.
We saw how he went up up and up to eat the Sun, who he thought was a Mango. What all happened next was so amazing.
So, the moral is,
- Hanumanji is always taking care of us.
and
- Fruits and veggies are good for health they make you strong.
- We should be kind to all, even if we are stronger
- We should learn to keep our hand to oversells - No hitting
- Forgiveness is important
Please show the children the picture of Hanumanji, and how, he is not a monkey, there is a difference. It is said that there was a super powerful species who had mega strength - They are called Vanar (Va is from Vaan and Nar is man, so man who lived in the forest.)
