This week Michael McKay speaks with Bonnie Carroll, President and Founder of TAPS, which stands for Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors.
She herself has been touched by personal tragedy, being the surviving spouse of an Army Brigadier General.
In 2015, she was the recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom, bestowed on her by President Obama. A singular honour!
She is a military veteran herself having served in Iraq, retiring after 30 years of service with the rank of Major in the United States Air Force Reserve.
