Michel Meylan is a Swiss nursery owner and has a particular passion for conifers. His nursery www.meylan.ch and garden centre are in Renens near Lausanne, and the nursery produces 100,000 grafted confiers every year. I met him at the Dutch professional growers show, Groot Groen Plus and he's convinced there's a conifer perfect for for every garden or balcony. Additionally, they've proved remarkably heat-resistant this summer, so perhaps they are going to become the essential garden plants for hotter summers in the future?
