In this podcast episode, I wanted to be real about my experience with mental health. I talk about the connections between my mental health and my experiences of the last year and a half. As I mention in the episode, before studying in Germany, I didn't care about my mental health in any way. But being in Germany taught me that mental health is very important and needs to be in constant check. Where I am mentally now is way better than where I was a year ago under lockdown in Germany. I go into more detail in the video. I hope this episode helps someone learn about mental health and its importance.
In this episode, I spoke about Hispanic/Latino(x) Month and its significance to me as a person who is Hispanic/Latinx. The idea of this episode came from the fact that Hispanic Heritage Month is about to come to an end, with October 15 near. I love this month as it connects me with many people culturally. In this episode, I properly introduced this podcast in connection with my YouTube Channel. And I told my first story, which was my journey in preparation for and traveling to Germany. There were so many things that I covered in that experience, from preparation for the program pre-pandemic in my home college to the looming possibility of cancellation of the program for the year. From which airlines I flew with (and could have flown with) to my experiences at some of the airports I flew to and from en route to Germany, including a mishap that happened at DFW International Airport. From meetings with the program personnel to flight itinerary changes. As this was my first episode, I am learning how to properly do a podcast as I go. More episodes coming soon!!
