Patty Killough, 92 passed away Monday, January 2, 2023, in Waco, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm, Friday, January 6, 2023, at Meadowbrook Baptist Church in Robinson. Visitation with the family will be from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park.
Patty was born October 27,1930 in Stanton, Texas to J. W. and Frances Fleming. She grew up in Scranton, Texas and graduated from Scranton High School where she medaled in basketball.
She married Brit Killough on July 14, 1950, in Cisco, Texas and they were happily married for 39 years. Patty enjoyed gardening. She always had a huge garden until just a few years ago She owned and operated her own beauty shop, known as Golden Brush Beauty Shop, for over 50 years from 1970 to June of 2021.
Patty was very involved in Park Memorial Baptist Church until they closed the church many years ago. At that time, she joined Meadowbrook Baptist Church where she was a member until her death.
Patty was preceded in death by her husband, Brit; her parents; two sisters; and four brothers.
She is survived by children, James Killough and wife, Brenda, Linda Brown, Frances Alexander and husband, Keith, and John Killough and wife, Sandra; grandchildren, Kris Killough, Suzee Stewart and husband, Jay, Alan Brown, Jennifer Owens and husband, Steven, Stephanie Johnson and husband, Lance, Amanda Niemeyer and husband, Jacob, Tiffany McQueen and husband, Brian, and Matthew Killough and wife, Hillary; great-grandchildren, Kaleigh Scott, Brittain Scott, Kane Stewart, Kelsey Goforth and husband, Cody, Kenzie Brown, Brittain Brown, Braden Owens, Cora Owens, Katelyn Johnson, Zachary Johnson, Alyssa McQueen, Corbin McQueen, Trigger Niemeyer and Timber Niemeyer; great great-grandchildren, Stella Stewart and Lainey Goforth; sisters-in-law, Joyce Fleming and Marilyn Fleming; and numerous nieces and nephews.
