Worship the Risen King - Matthew 28:16-20

In Matthew 28:16-20, after the glorious resurrection, the risen Jesus told the disciples to go to Galilee, to the mountain He had directed them to, and there they worshiped Him. Before Jesus ascended into heaven, He declared His authority, saying, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me (v. 18).” In a subsequent event, Jesus delivered the Great Commission to His disciples and promised that His presence would be with them as they followed what He commanded. The Gospel of Matthew reveals that Jesus is the Risen King who declared His authority and promised His presence so that His people would be directed to worship and obey what He commanded.
