Shezad Baloch, a seasoned journalist in Pakistan and now resident in Madison, grew up in Balochistan, Pakistan, the country’s largest and least populated province.

More than a dozen Wisconsin young people under the age of eighteen are suing the Public Service Commission and the state Legislature. Their argument: Wisconsin law favors the fossil fuel industry and is driving the state to expand its greenhouse gas emissions.

Not only do these laws contribute to a worsening climate crisis, their attorneys contend, but they also violate Wisconsin youth’s constitutional rights.
