Since Governor Tony Evers took office in 2019, Republican legislators have spent more than 25 million dollars on their near-constant legal battles with the executive branch.

That money comes out of taxpayers’ pockets without oversight or limits, thanks to a law that dates back to the lame duck session in 2018.
