Nearly 70% of U.S. adults support banning student cell phone use in K-12 classrooms, according to a survey this fall by Pew Research Center.
And lawmakers across the country are taking note. Wisconsin is one of sixteen states that’s considering adopting a statewide policy. But according to a new report from Wisconsin Policy Forum, many schools in our state are already enforcing restrictions.
Mark Sommerhauser, the Policy Forum’s communications director, wrote the report. Sitting down with our News Producer Faye Parks, he described the patchwork of cell phone policies across Wisconsin.
