In June the UW–Oshkosh, Fox City Campus will close for good. It will join 5 other associate-degree granting UW campuses that have closed since 2023. These closures are mandated by Universities of Wisconsin President, Jay Rothman. And these closures have locked out non-traditional students from higher education and the cost of this will stretch across generations.

On Saturday, a crowd of protestors in Madison showed up to the Capitol building to make known their thoughts on the current administration. They joined countless others around the country in one of the largest nationwide protests against Trump’s administration since his second term began. WORT’s Chali Pittman, Brian Standing and Erik Schwerdtfeger were on the scene. Reporter Jess Miller has the story.
