It's feeling a little Lenty in here, and I am not so sure that I enjoy that. If you are anything like me, I never know what to give up for Lent. I usually overpromise or underpromise and then end up feel frustrated the whole time. So what's a girl to do?
Well the first ten minutes of this episode have absolutely everything to do with Mother Angelica, priest being direct to you in the confessional, and our thoughts on the superbowl. Here it is - the M word. *oops*. Most of us have heard modesty talks before - usually ones that leave us feeling discouraged, confused on what it actually means to dress modestly, and pretty sure that we are going to have to give up all of our pants in favor of long, prairie-girl skirts (not that there is anything wrong with this because trust me I have a fair amount of skirts in my closet that Laura Ingals Wilder would approve of). But modesty is so not about covering ourselves up. It's not about treating our bodies as something that is inherently bad and needs to be hidden. Modesty is about reverencing the good and the beauty that our bodies are. Listen now on Apple and Spotify!
