In this episode, we go through 2 Thessalonians 1:5–10 and Paul’s encouragement to believers who were facing suffering for their faith. While persecution looks different around the world, every Christian will face hardship in some form for following Jesus.
Paul reminds us that our endurance through trials is evidence of sincere faith and part of what it means to live worthy of God’s Kingdom. Suffering is never wasted.
We also reflect on the difference between simply believing in God and actually obeying Him, and why the decision to follow Jesus is one we shouldn’t delay.
Reflection Questions:
1. When you face hardship because of your faith, how does it shape your dependence on God?
2. Are there areas of your life where you believe in God but struggle to fully obey Him?
3. If Jesus returned today, would you feel confident running toward Him? What might be holding you back?
