Matthew 8 shows us 4 things about Jesus:

1- Jesus has compassion on people

2- Jesus asks us to notice people

3- Jesus asks us to be apart of the solution to help others

4- Jesus asks us to bring what little we have and He will do the rest!

Taking God at His word is not always easy, yet when we read a scripture so powerful as Luke 11:5-13, we long for Him to fullfill His promise. Problem is.. we have to keep living in persistence and showing up so our God can show out! We have to keep asking, keep seeking and keep knocking. When we do that, God says He will answer!

Let's start something new! How about we take God at His word. I mean really start believing He says what He means and He means what He says. Therefore, when we read a promise from God in His Word we start living like we believe Him and change the way we act, think and behave.

In todays episode we talk about how we can take God at his word when He says we need to stop worring and begin to seek God first. 

On one hand He is telling me to wait and then on the other He is telling me to go! Which one is it Lord? Should I stay or should I go now? (I couldn't help it! I had to!) 

The Ruth is a beautiful example of how we are to wait with expectation, trusting the Lord will show up and provide a path forward.

Waiting on the Lord is active not passive. Today we will discover how we wait with confidence and hope.

The book of Nehemiah in the Bible gives us a beautiful example of when God calls us to build something for His glory, He will empower us to accomplish it! But the minute we declare victory for the Lord is the minute our enemy declares war on us. Nehemiah shows us how to stand firm and keep pursuing Jesus no matter.

I love when scripture makes sense! Not every time we read something in the Bible does it hit my head or my heart the way I want it to, but I have learned, if we keep reading, keep thinking about it, the Lord will begin to reveal more truths to us. 

Today we are talking about Psalms 1 and Psalms 119

When we actually start looking for Jesus in out everyday... funny thing is... we actually see Him! 

He has always been there and will always be there, the difference is us! Our eyes begin to open to see Him and notice all the areas of our day in which God is working and moving. The choice we get to make is, are we going to join Him!?

Listening to what God is trying to teach me is a constant battle. Yet, when I take time to process what He is telling me, I feel His abundant wisdom lived out in my life and the life of those around me.

Learning to listen to God also means I need to learn to listen to others as well. He cares for them and loves them more than I can imagine. As we listen to one another, God's love is on display!
