Some of us know what it’s like to be afraid of the dark. Maybe it’s physical darkness, or a season of life that feels dark. In this week’s passage, we see the disciples in the darkness, being tossed around by the waves, afraid of the situation at hand. Jesus calls out to them, and brings them peace through the sound of His voice. Listen in, as Pastor Wade speaks on how we can find peace in the midst of darkness by trusting in the Word of the Lord.

There’s a big difference between what we want and what we need. In John 6, we see a crowd of people following Jesus, hoping to have their wants fulfilled by Him. Jesus instead provides them with exactly what they need. Pastor Wade speaks on this passage, and how we can trust Jesus with both our spiritual and physical needs.

As we continue our series in John’s gospel, we see Jesus reveal how the religious leaders are unable to understand who He is. We see that they have set their hope on Moses, the law, and legalism, instead of the Man whom Moses wrote about - Jesus. People can be very reluctant to say "yes" when making an agreement or giving their word. Something so certain, direct and clear as a "yes" is rare.
