If you're using Instagram to grow your business, it's really important that you post stuff that's helpful for people who follow or would follow you. Think about why someone hits that follow button and keeps coming back. In your feed, Instagram Reels, Instagram Lives, or Instagram Stories, you have to think about how your content adds value to your followers. Ultimately, you want them to follow you, like you, and trust you enough to buy from you. 

Ask yourself: Would you follow you? When you wouldn't follow you, how do you expect others to follow you?

Leaders are normally thought of in the traditional sense...They help people develop the skills they need to be successful. They help people reach their full potential. You don't need to be a traditional leader of an organization or a team to do that. You can do it through your Instagram influence. 

What makes you followable on Instagram?

Your high level of energy is contagious. There is no need to be all weird and crazy. However, do you have an energy that is attractive? People are wanting to spend time with you. Your energy is drawing them in. Your energy will translate into your attitude. Your attitude will either repel or attract others.

It is important to keep your pride under control. If you think that you are the only reason someone advances in their life, you will be unfollowed. When necessary, I provide my one-on-one clients with outside resources to move the needle forward. Be willing to assist them in seeking the right answers rather than being the end-all, be-all approach. You don't have to know everything, but always be willing to learn.

Next, make sure you're consistent. When you're consistent, people will follow you. You are inconsistent if you post only twice a week, once a week, and then five times the following week. Your posting schedule should be consistent. Your followers will be able to count on your content if you become reliable. Share a consistent message as well. Consistency is queen. Describe your commitments.

You've got to have a vision. As the Bible says, without vision you'll perish. Write down that big belief, that big vision, and then tell people about it. People need to know what you're doing and why you're doing it before they buy your product or service, or give you a follow to get to know you.

Lastly, are you having fun? Many people follow me because they want to have fun. Because I want you to have fun when you land on my Instagram, fun is one of my brand words. We all know one of the reasons why you keep coming back to this podcast is because it's fun and useful, right? I'm not just entertaining you, I'm also educating you.
