What a joy it was to have Susie Larson with us on Woven this week! We got to revisit our first few episodes on the integration of mind, body and spirit as we discussed her new book, Fully Alive: Learning to Flourish- Mind, Body and Soul. She was such an encouragement to us and we pray she is to you as well. To learn more about Susie and her book, Fully Alive, click on the links below.

Continuing with our holiday prep episodes, this week we're discussing boundaries and how we can have them with family and friends at the holidays. To help guide us in this discussion, we welcome back our friend Sarah Collier who is a licensed professional counselor. Sarah has a huge passion for this topic and we had a great time exploring it all with her.

Don't panic, but the holiday season is fast approaching! The tradition of giving gifts at Christmas stretches back centuries, finding its roots in the gifts the wise men gave to Jesus. But, somehow, Christian gift giving has gotten muddled in the consumer-driven, frenzied culture in which we live. This week we attempt to define Christian gift giving and Rebecca Cochran throws down some of her gift giving expertise. We hope this episode not only inspires you to be intentional in your gift giving, but also gives you some practical ideas as you seek the best gifts for family and friends this Christmas.

We wrap up our Practicing Contentment series this week with a discussion on finding contentment with our finances. This isn't a discussion on financial planning, investments or debt reconciliation. Those are important discussions and we've listed some awesome resources below if you need help in those areas, but our discussion this week centers on what a heart of contentment looks like in this area of the Christian life.

Relationships are tricky, yet God calls us into relationship as He is in relationship as the Trinity. We were designed for community, to be in relationship with other humans. That's one of the ways we are made in His image. But, we are also so human that relationships can get murky and we can often feel discontent in them. How do we fight back against that discontentment so as to live in beautiful community with those God has given to us? In this episode, we will explore these ideas more in depth.
