How does diversity impact innovation? And how do you create inclusion? 

This is what this weeks episode is about. Because without different perspectives our innovations will not be at their best, which means that we need to create diverse teams with people from different backgrounds. In other words: sometimes we need to look past out bias and think outside the box. It is not only critical for business but also for society. In order to accelerate peoples potentials and create the best innovations we also need to have an inclusive culture. Not always easy, right? 

That's why we wanted to invite Sofia Falk to the WOW podcast, because she is an expert on creating inclusion and diversity. 

What would you do if you knew what the surface of the earth looks like?

In this weeks episode Joakim Wahlqvist tells us about Geo Satellite Intelligence. Through advanced cognitive image analysis, Machine Learning and Deep Learning it pushe the boundaries and challenge business problems that have existed forever.

GSI is based on open data from ESA (European Space Agency) where satellite images of various kinds are provided through the Copernicus program. By analyzing the broad spectrum of images that exist, industries such as transport, energy, forestry, insurance, with many, get entirely new opportunities to streamline their core processes.

AI and automation are already having enormous impact on employees, organizations and society. With Madeleine I talk about how the future belongs to businesses that are agile inside out behaving as living entities capable of reinventing themselves and how this transition relies not only on technology, process, and data evolution. But also on the people behind it. Technologies are the driver for disruption, but digital transformation needs people leading it.

She tells us about how the digital talent gap to master those transitions is still not closed: Job roles are fundamentally shifting, demanding re-skilling, up-skilling, and change management. Different leadership and talent are required, and new ways of working must be put in place to deliver outcomes in the digital age.

Thomas Andersson is a senior advisor at ECPAT, an organization that works against sexual abuse of children. The digitalization is amazing in many ways, but it also has negative effects, and this is one of them. The internet has made it much easier for offenders to exploit children and has made the crime much more limitless. As soon as a picture is posted online it is a global problem.

In this episode we talk about how ECPAT is using AI to become proactive instead of reactive when it comes to taking down sexually exploiting pictures of children on the internet. Each day this AI finds 10 000  new images with sexual abuse, and the number is increasing every day. We also talk about how we in other innovative ways can help to reduce this very big issue.
