Why people leave:
● See no value within first billing period
● Do not see equivalent value within first billing period
● Overwhelmed by the product, so much to do, so little time
● Run out of money
For example…
Membership Site, buys access, logs in, 100 things to do, can’t figure out where to start, cancels and leaves because it’s too overwhelming. Same can be applied to a software company, LMS site.
For product stores
Churn can be the amount of first time buyers who don’t return
Ways to ensure people stay
● Ensure they see equivalent value within the first billing period
○ Be available for questions
○ Provide constant guidance and assistance
○ Automate on-boarding
○ Provide key benchmarks that “appear as value!”
○ Validate the customer experience
● Continue to provide value long term
○ Videos
○ Blogs posts
○ Podcasts
○ Insights
○ Strategies
○ etc...
What to do when people leave?
● Send exit survey
○ Find out why the left
○ Collect key APIS/reasons
● Stay in touch
○ Keep them on the list unless they unsubscribe
○ Send them “veteran” promotions and deals for reactivation
○ Continue to provide value
● Don’t take it personally
○ Unless they make it personal
● Clear refund policy
● Make it easy to come back
○ Discount for reactivating
○ Instant reactivation
○ Account “Pausing

We going to be discussing in this episode how WordPress can be a direct competitor to SaaS platforms like Clickfunnels, with the right combination of free tools. We also are going to discuss funnels generally (including how the tech is only one part of the equation when it comes to successful funnels), and how I've used funnels and landing pages to sell $300k+ online courses in my first 2 years of business.
Dave Foy teaches non-coders how to build their businesses faster and more profitably using WordPress and the Elementor page builder.
Dave is actually a fully qualified teacher. For 10 years he taught 5-11-year-olds in the UK.
Dave built his first website 20 years ago, and in 2003 turned pro and spent 14 years in the industry, building and optimizing websites.
He started "Design-Build Web" (https://www.designbuildweb.co) in early 2017, combining his passion for teaching, his non-sleazy approach to marketing and 20+ years of web design experience. He applied everything he knew about sales funnels to his own website, resulting in rapid list growth, a string of profitable online course launches aimed at non-coders and a six-figure income in his first year.
Dave has 2 courses:
No Stress WordPress (https://www.nostresswp.co), teaching non-coders the framework for delivering fully functional WordPress websites faster with Elementor.
No Fear Funnels (https://www.nofearfunnels.co), teaching non-coder 'non-marketers' how to plan, design, build and manage highly effective sales funnels using WordPress and Elementor.

lusthis The #1 Campaign Toolkit for Marketing Automation Users
We going to be discussing marketing automation and while is industry going in general in 2019. What are the things an eLearning entrepreneur needs to really understand connected to marketing automation?
Greetings! I’m a marketer, writer, and creator. I’ve had quite an interesting career in marketing so far. My first marketing job was as a consultant for Microsoft, Dell, and Nestle, helping them train their people and promoting their products. (I don’t miss melting to death inside a Nestle bunny suit anymore.) From there I’ve worked in sales selling IT services. But for the last 5 years, I was the head of marketing for an executive coaching company.
I’ve created award-winning sites including one Forbes featured in their “Top 100 Sites for Your Career” list. I’ve consulted executives at Google, Apple, SAP and more around personal branding and other marketing initiatives. I’m personally passionate about creating engaging content that helps educate customers on solving their business problems.
When I’m not working I enjoy being a huge dork. I love comic books, board games, and audiobooks. I also like getting outdoors, usually taking my dog and paddle board with me. I’m a two-time cancer survivor with a can-do attitude. I look forward to getting to know the PlusThis community and helping you all get more leads and
