Tonight’s Raw is the last one before SummerSlam on Saturday.

Randy Orton is set to go one-on-one against one half of the Raw Tag Team Champions Omos.

Plus, Drew McIntyre in a 2-on-1 match against Veer and Shanky, and this match will have implications for McIntyre’s SummerSlam match against Jinder Mahal. If McIntyre wins, Veer and Shanky will be banned from ringside. If Veer & Shanky win, McIntyre's sword “Angela” will be banned for the SummerSlam match.

Raw is also promoting a face-to-face confrontation between WWE Champ Bobby Lashley and his SummerSlam opponent Goldberg.

New Japan’s Super Junior Tag League resumes Monday - but it’s overshadowed by last-minute changes to the card.

This all started with IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Shingo Takagi and BUSHI missing Sunday’s show. New Japan said both had fevers and they are awaiting the results of PCR tests.

So, as a precaution, Shingo and BUSHI are off of Monday’s show as well, along with six other wrestlers who had contact with them: Tetsuya Naito, SANADA, EVIL, Yujiro Takahashi, Gedo and Dick Togo.

Gedo and Togo are part of the Super Junior Tag League - but because they are off of Monday’s show a win will be awarded to Ryusuke Taguchi & Master Wato.

Here’s the outlook for the rest of the team in their penultimate matches of the tournament.

The team of Jr. Heavyweight Champ Robbie Eagles & Tiger Mask can secure victory in the tournament with a win Monday over the Jr. Tag Champs Taiji Ishimori & El Phantasmo. But a win for the Bullet Club side puts them in position to take the tournament.

El Desperado & Yoshinobu Kanemaru need a win over Roppongi 3K to stay alive in the tournament. Roppongi 3K are already eliminated.

New Japan’s Resurgence in Los Angeles Saturday night was a very eventful show.

Will Ospreay returned...and brought along a version of the IWGP World Heavyweight Title, calling it the “real” championship belt. Ospreay vacated the title back in May. He said he is now medically cleared, but will NOT be part of this year’s G1 Climax tournament. In fact, Ospreay said he will not return to Japan until Shingo Takagi is declared an “interim” champion.

Ospreay eventually retreated after he was confronted by Karl Fredericks, Clark Conners and TJP.

The Guerrillas Of Destiny made a surprise appearance at Resurgence...to confront the Good Brothers, who left before any punches could be thrown.

The Good Brothers had just beaten Jon Moxley & Yuji Nagata, pinning Nagata with a Magic Killer.

Hiroshi Tanahashi is the new IWGP U.S. Champion. He dethroned Lance Archer.

Jay White pinned David Finlay with the Bladerunner to retain his NEVER Openweight Title. Tomohiro Ishii was out after the match to challenge White.

Earlier, Ishii pinned Moose with a brainbuster.

Yuya Uemura - on the first day of his excursion PINNED Danny Limelight to win a 10-man tag. After the match, Katsuyori Shibata strolled out to personally welcome Uemura into the LA Dojo.

Juice Robinson pinned Hiluleo with a rollup. Then, got a chokeslam for his troubles.

New Japan announced before the show that Brody King was unable to compete due to “unforeseen circumstances”. King later tweeted that he’s “okay”.

The next big show for New Japan in the U.S. will be in San Jose on November 13th. Jay White, Jon Moxley and Tomohiro Ishii are all announced for that show.

Back in Japan, a champion in Pro-Wrestling NOAH now holds the top title in ZERO1. GHC National Champion Takashi Sugiura pinned Masato Tanaka on Sunday to win the ZERO1 World Heavyweight Championship.

Tonight’s AEW Dark: Elevation has Joey Janela vs. Alan “5” Angels...the Lucha Brothers vs. The Hybrid2...Diamante vs. Julia Hart...and Kiera Hogan’s AEW debut against Hikaru Shida.

Kenny Omega is STILL the AAA Mega Champion. He beat Andrade El Idolo at TripleMania XXIX Saturday night. Ric Flair was in Andrade’s corner...and at one point during the match, Flair was firing chops on Omega.

Also on the show, Impact Knockouts Champ Deonna Purrazzo beat Faby Apache to take AAA’s women’s title...the Lucha Brothers retained the AAA Tag Titles...and Psycho Clown defeated Rey Escorpion in the Mask vs. Hair main event...leading to Escorpion being shaved bald.

The next #1 contender for the Impact World Championship will be decided at Emergence...in a 4-Way: Moose vs. Chris Sabin vs. Sami Callihan vs. Ace Austin. That show is an Impact Plus exclusive coming up on Friday.

Also on that show, Christian Cage will defend the Impact Title for the first time...against Brian Myers.

The historic first episode of AEW Rampage saw the crowning of a NEW Impact World Champion.

Christian Cage pinned Kenny Omega after using the Killswitch to drive Omega’s head into the seat of an open, uprighted steel chair. That chair was introduced into the match by the Young Bucks.

Dr. Britt Baker held onto the AEW Women’s Championship last night...and she gained some extra muscle. First, Baker used the LockJaw to submit Red Velvet. After the match, Kris Statlander jumped Baker...and that’s when Baker’s new backup was revealed in the form of .

Also on last night’s show, Miro submitted Fuego Del Sol to retain his TNT Championship. But Fuego still got his AEW contract after the match.

Getting back to Omega, things for him could go from bad to worse tonight in Mexico City...at AAA’s biggest show of the year - TripleMania 29!

Omega will defend the AAA Mega Championship against Andrade El Idolo. This is easily the biggest match for Andrade since he left WWE.

The main event is a Mask vs. Hair Match between Psycho Clown and Rey Escorpion.

Also, Impact Knockouts Champ Deonna Purrazzo vs. AAA’s women’s champ Faby Apache in a Title vs. Title “Winner Takes All” match.

The Lucha Brothers defend the AAA Tag Titles in a 3-Way against Hijo Del Vikingo & Laredo Kid...and Black Taurus with a mystery partner.

Plus, the invading force known as La Empresa - Puma King, DMT Azul & Sam Adonis - vs. Team AAA - Chessman, Murder Clown & Pagano.

If you live outside Mexico, this will NOT be an easy show to watch. You’ll need a VPN or some other means.

There was a title change in WWE last night.

KING Nakamura is the new Intercontinental Champion. He pinned Apollo Crews with the Kinshasa on last night’s SmackDown.

Kevin Owens beat Baron Corbin. Later, Corbin stole Big E’s Money In The Bank briefcase.

Also, Rey & Dominik Mysterio beat Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode...and the Street Profits beat the Alpha Academy.

WWE announced a new match for SummerSlam: Drew McIntyre vs. Jinder Mahal.

New Japan is back in front of live fans in the United States tonight. It’s Resurgence in Los Angeles...with a DOUBLE main event!

Hiroshi Tanahashi challenges Lance Archer for the IWGP United States Championship...and Jay White defends his NEVER Openweight Title against David Finlay.

Also being promoted for the show...Impact Wrestling’s Moose vs. Tomohiro Ishii...the Good Brothers vs. Jon Moxley and a mystery partner...AND just announced for the show: Juice Robinson vs. Hikuleo.

The show will broadcast live on New Japan World but ONLY with Japanese Commentary. If you want English, you’ll need to order the FITE-TV broadcast.

Back in Japan, Stardom has canceled both of its shows scheduled for this weekend...after it says some of its wrestlers had close contact with a person who has COVID-19.

Five matches in the Five Star Grand Prix tournament...and a Goddesses Of Stardom Title match were scheduled for those shows. As of Friday, there’s no word on when or even if they’ll be rescheduled.

Pro-Wrestling NOAH has a big show coming up on Sunday. The main event has GHC National Champion Takashi Sugiura vs. ZERO1 World Heavyweight Champ Masato Tanaka. It’s Title vs. Title, “Winner Takes All”. FITE-TV is carrying the show. It’s also on Wrestle Universe, as usual.

The full card for the NWA’s 73rd Anniversary pay per view was announced on Friday.

Nick Aldis defends the Worlds Heavyweight Championship against Trevor Murdoch. James Storm will challenge Chris Adonis for the National Title. Plus, Mickie James vs. Kylie Ray and a lot more. That pay per view is coming up on Sunday, August 29th.

Jennacide is the latest name announced for Invitational Cup battle royal at the NWA’s Empowerrr pay per view on August 28th.

This weekend’s Ring Of Honor TV has…Max The Impaler vs. Hollidead in a first round match in the ROH women’s title tournament.

THREE title matches are set for tonight’s premiere of AEW’s new weekly series Rampage.

Kenny Omega will defend the Impact World Championship against Christian Cage - the same man who will challenge Omega for the AEW Championship at All Out next month.

Also tonight...Dr. Britt Baker defends the AEW Women’s Championship against Red Velvet…

And Miro puts the TNT Championship on the line against Fuego Del Sol. If Fuego wins, he doesn’t just get the gold...he gets an AEW contract.

Rampage airs tonight at 10PM Eastern on TNT.

Whoever holds the Impact World Championship after tonight will defend it against Brian Myers…at the Impact Plus exclusive show Emergence...on Friday, August 20th.

Myers earned the shot by winning a 20-man battle royal on last night’s Impact. He dumped both Moose and Chris Sabin as they were battling one another to secure the victory.

It was made very clear during the broadcast that Myers could challenge either Omega or Christian. In fact, Christian Cage himself appeared during the show in an interview with AEW’s Alex Marvez.

Another new match added to Emergence: Steve Maclin vs. Petey Williams.

There was a pretty big upset last night. John Skyler pinned Matt Cardona...thanks in part to an outside distraction by Rohit Raju.

Tenille Dashwood pinned Taylor Wilde after interference by Madison Rayne...the same Madison Rayne who announced her retirement back in January. Rayne and Dashwood embraced after the match.

X-Division Champ Josh Alexander beat Daivari in a non-title match.

FinJuice got a DQ win over Jay White & Chris Bey...after White blatantly attacked David Finlay and Juice Robinson with a steel chair. White is set to defend his NEVER Openweight Title against Finlay at Saturday night’s New Japan Resurgence show in Los Angeles.

Su Yung is BACK. She and a newly “undead” version of Kimber Lee attacked Kiera Hogan...who was dragged backstage by her hair.

Keith Lee discussed the health issues that caused him to miss months of action.

In a video posted Thursday, Lee went through his year...from contracting COVID-19 in January...to doctors later finding inflammation in his heart.

Lee said he had to cease almost all physical activity while doctors decided what to do next.

Lee said he’s healthy now. He returned to Raw last month.

As of Thursday night there are no matches announced for tonight’s SmackDown...but we’re being promised an appearance by John Cena for a face-to-face confrontation with Roman Reigns.

205 Live enters a new era tonight - a week after its roster lost a number of regulars to the latest round of cuts.

A preview on WWE.com says the brand “will now occasionally play host to matches where one or multiple Superstars eclipse the 205-pound weight limit”.

That’s the reasoning for tonight’s match between Joe Gacy and Josh Briggs. There’s also a match between two true cruiserweights - Ikemen Jiro vs. Grayson Waller.

On Thursday’s NXT UK…

Noam Dar beat Mark Andrews 2 falls to 1...in the first round of the Heritage Cup #1 Contender tournament.

Also, Wolfgang beat Flash Morgan Webster...and Amale beat Nina Samuels.

There will be TWO title matches on next week’s show.

Meiko Satomura defends her UK Women’s Championship against Stevie Turner...and Pretty Deadly put their tag titles on the line against Moustache Mountain.

NXT’s Candice LeRae and Johnny Gargano announced Thursday that they are expecting their first child.

The Great Muta has been pulled from Sunday’s Pro-Wrestling NOAH show...due to Muta possibly coming into contact with someone who has COVID-19. NOAH calls the move “precautionary”

Nosawa Rongai will take Muta’s place on the show - tagging with GHC Heavyweight Champ Naomichi Marufuji against HAYATA and Ogawa Yoshinari.

Tonight’s New Japan Strong has a tag team main event: The STRONG Openweight Champion FILTHY Tom Lawlor & Danny Limelight vs. Lio Rush & Karl Fredericks.

The AEW Championship match is set for All Out. It’ll be Kenny Omega defending against...Christian Cage.

The match was announced during last night’s Dynamite, but that’s not all. Kenny and Christian will also meet on the debut episode of Rampage on Friday night...with Omega’s Impact World Championship on the line.

Impact executive Scott D’Amore appeared on last night’s Dynamite...and sat in on commentary during the Good Brothers’ successful Impact Tag Title defense over Evil Uno & Stu Grayson.

Another match announced for All Out during last night’s Dynamite: Pac vs. Andrade El Idolo.

Chris Jericho will get his match against MJF.

Jericho got past Wardlow in the main event of last night’s Dynamite. The referee caught MJF trying to slip his Dynamite Diamond Ring to Wardlow. And while throwing out MJF, Jericho hit Wardlow with his bat behind the ref’s back...delivered the Judas Effect and got the pin.

The showdown between Jericho and MJF will happen on NEXT Wednesday’s Dynamite. MJF declared that the Judas Effect will be banned...and also, “Judas” will not be played during Jericho’s entrance.

Also on last night’s Dynamite...Darby Allin pinned Daniel Garcia with the Coffin Drop. Garcia dominated much of the match.

Matt Hardy & Private Party beat Orange Cassidy, Chuck Taylor & Wheeler Yuta. Hardy pinned Yuta after a Twist Of Fate.

Nyla Rose ran out to take down Kris Statlander during the match, but Statlander later got her revenge. She pinned Rose with a 450 Splash.

An in-ring interview by Tony Schiavone with QT Marshall led to Marshall and The Factory attacking Schivaone’s son...and that led to Paul Wight storming out to hit a chokeslam on Aaron Solo.

A promoted appearance by Dan Lambert did NOT happen on last night’s Dynamite.

Tony Khan told Busted Open Radio it was pushed back a week...and will now happen on next Wednesday’s Dynamite. Khan also mentioned that Lambert is bringing along “two great UFC champions.”

Former Impact Knockouts Tag Champ Kiera Hogan wrestled a match for AEW Dark: Elevation before last night’s Dynamite went on air.

Also, Anthony Bowens wrestled a singles match for Elevation. Max Caster was NOT in his corner and did NOT appear at all during the show.

The new AEW Tag Team Rankings unveiled Wednesday did NOT include The Acclaimed among the top 5 title contenders.

All this follows backlash over Caster’s pre-match rap on last week’s episode of AEW Dark.

CM Punk was asked point-blank if he will be at the United Center when AEW Rampage emanates from that arena on August 20th.

Ring Of Honor has found a new home for its Death Before Dishonor pay per view. It’ll be held at Philadelphia’s 2300 Arena on Sunday, September 12th. ROH pulled the show out of its original site in Lakeland, Florida due to concerns about a surge in COVID-19 cases in that state.

Also on Wednesday, ROH announced Josh Woods will challenge for the Pure Title at Death Before Dishonor.

Today’s NXT UK will see the start of the Heritage Cup #1 Contender’s Tournament. Mark Andrews faces Noam Dar in a first round match.

Also on today’s show...Flash Morgan Webster vs. Wolfgang...and Amale vs. Nina Samuels.

The episode of NWA Powerrr originally scheduled for Tuesday finally premiered last night.

It saw the deciding match of the Champions Series...with Colby Corino beating Sal Rinauro...to win the tournament for Team Pope.

This means all members of the team - Trevor Murdoch, Jennacide, Jax Dane, The Masked Man, and Corino will get NWA title matches at a time of their choosing.

Ring Of Honor announced Tuesday that it’s moving the site of its Death Before Dishonor pay per view OUT of Florida.

ROH said the decision is due to a recent surge in the number of COVID-19 cases in Florida.

A new site for the pay per view has yet to be announced. It’s still scheduled for Sunday, September 12th.

Tonight’s AEW Dynamite is at the University Of Pittsburgh’s Petersen Events Center, where all fans will be required to wear masks...regardless of whether they’ve received a COVID-19 vaccine.

The Impact Tag Titles will be defended on tonight’s Dynamite. The Good Brothers will be challenged by Dark Order’s Evil Uno & Stu Grayson.

Chris Jericho faces his fourth “Labour Of Jerciho”...in the form of Wardlow, with MJF at ringside.

AEW Champ Kenny Omega teams with AEW Tag Champs the Young Bucks to face Dante Martin and the Sydal Brothers.

Plus, Nyla Rose vs. Kris Statlander...Darby Allin vs. Daniel Garcia...Orange Cassidy, Chuck Taylor & Wheeler Yuta vs. Private Party & Matt Hardy...and Dan Lambert has vowed to confront Lance Archer.

A match featuring The Acclaimed that was being promoted for Tuesday’s AEW Dark was removed from the show before it premiered.

Also, The Acclaimed was pulled from a meet & greet that was being advertised in Pittsburgh.

The team has not appeared on an AEW broadcast since backlash over Max Caster’s pre-match rap on last Tuesday’s Dark. AEW later removed it from the episode.

Tuesday’s episode of NWA Powerrr did not air on FITE TV as scheduled. The NWA said there were “technical difficulties”...and FITE said it was working to “fix the process”. The episode will instead air tonight...with two Champions Series matches: Thom Lattimer vs. Trevor Murdoch...and Colby Corino vs. Sal Rinauro.

The team of Allysin Kay & Marti Belle is the first to be announced for the NWA Women’s Tag Team Title tournament happening at the Empowerrr pay per view on August 28th.

New matches announced for NXT TakeOver 36 during last night’s NXT.

Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly will meet in a two-out-of-three falls match. Where both men each get to choose a stipulation for one of the first two falls. If it gets to a third fall, the stip will be decided by GM William Regal.

O’Reilly is choosing a straight-up match for the first fall. Cole picked a Street Fight for the second fall. The third fall - if needed - will be inside a steel cage.

Cameron Grimes will get another shot at LA Knight’s Million Dollar Championship...and the end of his time working as Knight’s butler.. But if Grimes loses at TakeOver, Ted DiBiase will become Knight’s butler instead.

Dakota Kai handed Sarray her first loss in NXT. Sarray was originally scheduled to face Ember Moon, but WWE announced before the show that Moon was not medically cleared.

Odyssey Jones beat Trey Baxter to advance to the finals in the NXT Breakout Tournament.

Pete Dunne pinned Ilja Dragunov with the Bitter End in last night’s main event...after NXT UK Champion WALTER showed up late in the match. Dragunov got the better of WALTER after the match. Those two are set to meet for the title at TakeOver.

Gigi Dolin beat Amari Miller. Dolin was also featured in a vignette during the show.

Boa beat Drake Maverick...after Mei Ying blew mist in Maverick’s eyes..

Two title matches are set for next week’s NXT: Kushida defending the Cruiserweight Title against Roderick Strong...and MSK defending the NXT Tag Titles against Imperium’s Marcel Barthel & Fabian Aichner.

Hirooki Goto, Tomohiro Ishii & YOSHI-HASHI are still the NEVER 6-Man Tag Champs. They turned away the challenge of Tetsuya Naito, SANADA & BUSHI on Tuesday.

Mexico’s CMLL promotion announced Tuesday that Sansón, Cuatrero and Forastero are leaving the company. They were holding the World Trios Titles in CMLL. Those titles are now vacated.

Major League Wrestling announced it’s signed luchador Arez to a multi-year deal.

In case there was any doubt, WWE made it official on Monday. Raquel Gonzalez will defend her NXT Women’s Championship against Dakota Kai at TakeOver 36 on August 22nd.

A segment involving those two is being promoted for tonight’s NXT.

Also announced for tonight…the NXT Breakout Tournament semifinal between Trey Baxter and Odyssey Jones...plus, Ember Moon vs. Sarray.

There’s a new title match set for SummerSlam.

Sheamus will defend the United States Championship against Damian Priest.

Sheamus pinned Ricochet with a Brogue Kick in a non-title match on last night’s Raw.

Priest pinned John Morrison with the Reckoning for the second straight week. After the match, The Miz got out of his wheelchair to shove Priest...and then sprinted to the back. So, I guess his knee is feeling better.

Randy Orton returned to Raw last night. He pinned one half of the Raw Tag Champs AJ Styles with an RKO. After the match, Orton shared a hug with Riddle...before he hit him with an RKO too.

Lilly was in Alexa Bliss’ corner for a match against Doudrop...and the presence of this doll really paid off. Lilly ended up on the top turnbuckle...and when Doudrop spotted it...there was a cutaway close-up shot of Lilly’s face...and Lilly winked at Doudrop. Alexa took advantage of that distraction and rolled up Doudrop for the pin.

A non-title match between Raw Women’s Champ Nikki A.S.H. and Rhea Ripley ended with Charlotte Flair attacking both women.

NXT Champion Karrion Kross submitted Jeff Hardy with his Kross Jacket chokehold to win a non-title match and avenge his loss to Hardy in his Raw debut weeks ago..

Baron Corbin showed up on Raw...but left with little more than another loss at the hands of Drew McIntyre.

T-Bar pinned Mustafa Ali with Feast Your Eyes.

A vignette showed Elias tossing his guitar into a fire...and declaring “Elias is dead”.

Fans attending AEW’s shows in Pittsburgh this week will be required to wear masks...regardless of whether they are vaccinated or not.

An email to ticket holders laid out the University of Pittsburgh’s guidelines for the Petersen Events Center, which will host Wednesday's Dynamite and the premiere episode of Rampage on Friday night.

The AEW Champion Kenny Omega and the tag champs the Young Bucks will wrestle on Wednesday’s Dynamite. They’ll team up against the Sydal brothers and Dante Martin.

Tonight’s Dark is promoting at least 18 matches…including Bear Boulder’s first match since last April. He’ll reunite with Bear Bronson as Bear Country to take on Chaos Project.

Also on tonight’s Dark...Alan “5” Angels vs. QT Marshall...Private Party vs. Chuck Taylor & Wheeler Yuta...and the Lucha Brothers vs. Cezar Bononi & JD Drake.

Joey Janela & Sonny Kiss were set for a tag match on last night’s Elevation - but Janela attacked Kiss during their entrance. I guess that team is done for good.

There was also an upset on the show. Captain Shawn Dean pinned PRETTY Peter Avalon with a powerbomb/backstabber combo that he calls The Salute.. That’s only the second singles win in AEW this year for Dean.

The Lucha Brothers beat Matt & Mike Sydal in the main event.

New Japan is taking a break from the Super Junior Tag League on its show Tuesday...but there is a NEVER 6-Man Tag Title match in the main event.

Two teams remain unbeaten in the Super Junior Tag League after Monday’s show.

Taiji Ishimori & El Phantasmo beat their Bullet Club cohorts Gedo & Dick Togo...and Robbie Eagles & Tiger Mask handed the first tournament loss to El Desperado & Yoshinobu Kanemaru.

Roppongi 3K is still looking for its first win of the tournament. They were beaten by Ryusuke Taguchi & Master Wato. The loss eliminates Roppongi 3K from tournament contention.

A day after he won Dragon Gate’s Open The Brave Gate Title, SB KENTo was STRIPPED of the title. The decision came down after SB KENTo’s first defense against Keisuke Okuda ended in a “no contest”. Those two will meet again for the vacant title on September 11th.

Ring Of Honor broadcaster Quinn McKay finally got the better of Mandy Leon. She beat her on this past weekend’s ROH TV to advance in the women’s title tournament.

In another first-round match in the tournament, Trish Adora used the Cattle Mutilation to submit Marti Belle.

The main event saw ROH Champ Bandido & Rey Horus beat Brody King & Chris Dickinson. Bandido pinned Dickinson with the 21 Plex.

La Faccion Ingobernable attacked Bandido after the match...and Rush took Bandido’s mask.

The NWA added two names to a battle royal on its Empowerrr pay per view later this month: Debbie Malenko and Bianca Carelli. Malenko was a champion in All Japan during the 90’s before a knee injury effectively ended her career. Carelli is the daughter of Santino Marella.

The winner of the battle royal gets a shot at the NWA Women’s Title the following day on the NWA’s 73rd Anniversary pay per view.

It sounds like there is some validity to reports over the weekend of possible changes tp WWE’s NXT brand and developmental system. The reports surfaced following the releases of thirteen performers last Friday.

One of those released wrestlers posted a statement over the weekend...and alluded to what’s happening behind the scenes.

Anthony Henry - who wrestled as Asher Hale in WWE - wrote, “There is a shift happening, within the company, and I no longer fit what they are looking for.”

Henry added that he was wrestling through an injury - two herniated disks - during most of his 6-month run in WWE.

Another of those wrestlers released Friday, Bronson Reed, posted a message for his fans on social media Sunday night. The Australian super-heavyweight talked about his reaction to being let go.

As of Sunday night, no matches are announced for tonight’s Raw...but we are being promised separate appearances by WWE Champion Bobby Lashley and Charlotte Flair.

John Cena is being advertised for live fans tonight in Orlando, but there’s guarantee he’ll appear while Raw is on the air.

There are three unbeaten teams...and three winless teams...after the first weekend of New Japan’s Super Junior Tag League.

Two of the unbeatens go head-to-head on Monday’s show...when Robbie Eagles & Tiger Mask face El Desperado & Yoshinobu Kanemaru.

Also on Monday’s show, two teams look for their first win in the tournament...when Ryusuke Taguchi & Master Wato go up against SHO & YOH.

Plus, an ALL Bullet Club showdown, the unbeaten team of Taiji Ishimori & El Phantasmo vs. the winless pairing of Gedo & Dick Togo

Tuesday’s Summer Struggle show will provide a break from the Super Junior Tag League...for a main event NEVER Openweight Six Man Tag Team Title Match. Hirooki Goto, Tomohiro Ishii & YOSHI-HASHI defend against Tetsuya Naito, SANADA & BUSHI.

New Japan announced over the weekend that all of its wrestlers and staff residing in Japan have now received both doses of a COVID-19 vaccine.

A new match announced for Resurgence in Los Angeles coming up on Saturday. It’s 10-man tag. Strong Openweight Champ FILTHY Tom Lawlor, JR Kratos, Jorel Nelson, Royce Isaacs & Danny Limelight vs. Lio Rush, Brody King, Chris Dickinson, Fred Yehi & Yuya Uemura.

Uemura was last seen wrestling his final match as a Young Lion in Japan last weekend...as he is now getting ready to begin his excursion.

A title change in Dragon Gate. SB KENTo took the Open the Brave Gate Title from Kagetora on Sunday.

WWE reportedly released at least a dozen wrestlers on Friday. Most of them were working on NXT and 205 Live.

Perhaps the most surprising name is Bronson Reed. He was the NXT North American Champion just a couple months ago. He also got a look recently on Main Event.

Other confirmed cuts: Jake Atlas… Kona Reeves... Anthony Henry, who signed with WWE back in January, and was wrestling under the name Asher Hale...Alex Zayne, who was wrestling under the name Ari Sterling. He signed with the company late last year... and Denzel Dejournette, who was recently using the ring name Desmond Troy.

Mercedes Martinez…

Tyler Rust, who was part of the new Diamond Mine faction on NXT...and had just signed with WWE last December.

Former NXT North American Champion Leon Ruff, who won the title shortly after he signed with WWE last summer…

AND referee Stephon Smith.

Bianca Belair will defend the SmackDown Women’s Championship against Sasha Banks. Belair beat Zelina Vega in a non-title match on SmackDown.

Also added to SummerSlam, Edge vs. Seth Rollins.

Finn Balor is not over last week’s contract signing...and the Universal Title match he missed out on when Baron Corbin interrupted the ceremony...and then, John Cena swooped in to sign the contract himself.

Balor steamrolled Corbin on Friday night. After the match, Balor said he still wants his title shot and he’ll go through Cena to get it. That drew out Roman Reigns...and The Usos. Balor got the better of them for a bit, but eventually succumbed to the numbers game.

KING Nakamura beat Intercontinental Champ Apollo Crews via disqualification...after Commander Azeez got involved. This was a non-title match, but this appears to put Nakamura in line for a title shot.

Tegan Nox pinned one half of the WWE Women’s Tag Champs Tamina. Nox rolled up Tamina after she was distracted by Shotzi firing a shot from her tank at ringside.

One half of the SmackDown Tag Champs Jey Uso beat Dominik Mysterio.

The Street Profits returned to action with a win over Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode.

New Japan’s Super Junior Tag League kicks off Saturday with the first three matches at the Summer Struggle show at Korakuen Hall. It’s a FREE show on New Japan World.

The tournament continues on Sunday...with three more matches: Master Wato & Ryusuke Taguchi vs. Taiji Ishimori & El Phantasmo...Tiger Mask & Robbie Eagles vs Roppongi 3K...and El Desperado & Yoshinobu Kanemaru vs. Dick Togo & Gedo.

Team Filthy appeared to gain some extra manpower at the end of last night’s New Japan Strong.

Team Filthy’s Danny Limelight & JR Kratos beat the West Coast Wrecking Crew - Jorel Nelson & Royce Isaacs - in the main event. The two sides were ready to keep going at it after the match, but FILTHY Tom Lawlor himself came to the ring to play peacemaker...and Nelson & Isaacs left the ring with Team Filthy.

Pro-Wrestling NOAH’s YO-HEY is out of action after a PCR test came back positive for the coronavirus. Five other wrestlers and a referee were also pulled from Friday’s show due to contact with YO-HEY.

Several upcoming shows in Australia are canceled or postponed due to a new 7-day lockdown in the country over COVID-19 concerns.

An extra episode of NWA Powerrr on Friday produced a new champion. Tyrus took the NWA TV Title from Da Pope.

Lady Frost is now added to the Empowerrr pay per view on August 28th. She’ll be part of a battle royal...where the winner gets a shot at the NWA Women’s Title the following day at the NWA’s 73rd Anniversary pay per view.

AEW released a bonus episode of Dark Friday night. Eleven matches packed into this one.

Billy & Colten Gunn beat The Factory’s Nick Comoroto & Aaron Solo. Billy grabbed a handful of Solo’s tights as he rolled him up for the pin.

Major League Wrestling’s TV tapings on November 6th, which were originally set to be held in Chicago..are being moved to Philadelphi’s 2300 Arena.

Germany’s WXW promotion is holding its 20th Anniversary show on Saturday, with Axel Tischer - the former Alexander Wolfe - in the main event.

One of pro wrestling’s most respected in-ring performers...has died.

Bobby Eaton was a wrestler’s wrestler - admired by his peers for his skill inside the squared circle...and for his kind nature away from the ring.

Eaton is recognized as one of the greatest tag team wrestlers of all time. His run as part of the original Midnight Express is legendary.

Eaton’s family announced he passed away on Wednesday night.

Bobby Eaton was 62.

Another title match is set for SummerSlam. The Usos will defend the SmackDown Tag Titles against the former champs, Rey & Dominik Mysterio.

On Thursday’s NXT UK…A-Kid beat Jordan Devlin in a 30-minute Iron Man Match...winning two falls to one. A-Kid took the lead with a submission on Devlin with about 90 seconds left...and then held on for the victory.

Also on Thursday’s show, Blair Davenport beat Xia Brookside.

An 8-man tournament will decide the new #1 contender for the Heritage Cup Championship currently held by Tyler Bate. That begins next week with a first round match between Mark Andrews and Noam Dar.

As of Thursday night, there’s essentially nothing announced for tonight’s SmackDown.

(STINGER: Impact)

The next Impact Plus exclusive, Emergence, is now being promoted for Friday, August 20th. Impact has promised that Kenny Omega will defend the Impact World Title on that show.

Two more title matches for Emergence were made official on last night’s Impact.

Josh Alexander will defend the X-Division Title against Jake Something, who won a 4-Way #1 Contender Match last night.

The Impact Tag Titles will be on the line in a 3-Way. The Good Brothers defend against Violent by Design and Willie Mack & Rich Swann.

The Good Brothers and Omega were beaten in last night’s main event...by the team of Sami Callihan, Eddie Edwards and the ELITE HUNTER Frankie Kazarian. Edwards pinned Karl Anderson with the Boston Knee Party. W. Morrissey showed up and laid out Edwards after the match.

Bullet Club has a new member...and it’s Chris Bey. Jay White formally welcomed him into the group after Bey pinned Juice Robinson with the Art Of Finesse on last night’s Impact.

It appears last night was the end of Fire n’ Flava. Kiera Hogan & Tasha Steelz lost to Jordynne Grace & Rachael Ellering. After the match, the debuting Savannah Evans came out to beat up Hogan while Steelz just watched.

Knockouts Champ Deonna Purrazzo is now set to defend her title against Melina at the NWA’s Empowerrr pay per view on August 28th.

We also learned earlier this week that Chelsea Green will be part of a Battle Royal at Empowerrr...with the winner facing the NWA Women’s Champ the following night on the NWA’s 73rd Anniversary pay per view.
