Wrestling With My Girl

On this edition of WWMG, Sara and CJ take some time to review the most recent Major League Wrestling Show, 'MLW Road to the WORLD Championship'. There are some excellent high points--looking at you Jeff Cobb and Matt Riddle. And more than enough loogies to go around. Did you guys catch the show? What did you think?

This week we check in on NJPW's New Beginning Shows from Sapporo and Osaka as well as the last month of 205 Live under its new direction.

In the second part, Sara and CJ try their hands in the booth with a little commentary to a Terry Funk/Brian Pillman match from WCW Pro in 1994.

Here's the link for the match if you want to follow along:

For ep 76 we slide back into WrestleMania! We take a trip back to 2009 down in Houston Texas as JBL quits, the Hardyz fight each other, and thankfully HBK and the Undertaker burn down the house.

WWE kicked off the 2018 with the first of their big four shows--Royal Rumble. The women made history with their first match and the night was full of some not so cool moments but also some cool surprise returns! booyaka booyaka

TakeOver, per usual, was great with the Extreme Rules match and Gargano/Almas blowing the roof off.

WWE's flagship show celebrated 25 years with a lack luster silver anniversary episode this past week. There were definite issues going from the Barclay and Manhattan Centers, most people there were just makin' a cameo, but at least Stone Cold was there! Killing two birds with one stone, this was also the Royal Rumble go home, didn't seem to be in WWE's skill set.

After the break we discuss the Okada/Omega trilogy from 2017.

WWMG is back with another MLW show: Zero-Hour. The crew of MLW put on a great show with Rey Fenix and Penta El Zero M wowing the crowd and stealing the show. Darby Allin, MJF, and Sammy Guevara continue to impress while Priscilla Kelly shows there are no boundaries she won't cross.

Its Wrestle Kingdom 12! NJPW kicked of the year with a helluva show as both the main event(s?) and undercard delivered strong performances.

A big thanks to @ShowbuckleVids for all his hard work on his Youtube videos that help get people familiar with the characters and stories of NJPW, especially right before the big show.

WWE had its last network "special" of the year with SmackDown!'s Clash of Champions. Not a terrible show but many of the stipulations and match dynamics led to confusion discombobulation. What was the MOTN? Is the Jinder experiment over? Just how many matches were occuring with all those tag teams?

In episode 69 Sara and CJ look back on their 2017 predictions. What did we get right and just how off were we on some?

After the break we do a quick dive into the WrestleMania main events for the ones we've covered so far on the podcast and ask, "Should another match have closed the show?"
