We kick off the episode talking about the passing of Pat Patterson. Mike and Shaun watch along with a classic match of Patterson’s while subjecting the audience to an interesting audio issue. We get into discussing recent happenings in AEW. Included in this is discussing the debut of Sting in AEW. Finally we jump into NXT and NXT War Games.

Shaun and Mike make a return to the podcast after 2 months away. They kick it off discussing a weird Cody Rhodes and Jade Cargill promo. They then go from talking AEW and leap into NXT. Where we talk about some of the fun story build that is happening around the 2 upcoming War Games matches. After NXT we discuss the recent Survivor Series event. Finally we dive into WWE bidding farewell to The Undertaker.

We dive into NXT and discuss Retribution as it pertains to recent NXT call ups. We discuss some of the recent story lines in AEW and where we think they might be headed. In our recent wrestling history segment we discuss a famous promo from WCW Nitro in 1998 that the 4 Horsemen do.

Chicken Pot Pie – The lovely Miss Elizabeth joins us for this episode. We breakdown AEW’s All Out PPV. We then jump right into a live watch-along of AEW dynamite. We develop a drinking game and then close out the episode discussing NXT.

We kick off the episode and briefly discuss the AEW Deadly draw tag tournament. We then get into a discussion about Dynamite. We analyze the defenses of Cody’s TNT title and if the contenders really have any chance. We touch on some of the highlights of NXT. We close out the episode by watching a classic War Games match from WCW’s Wrestle War 92. The match pits the Dangerous Alliance versus Sting’s Squadron.

We dive into NXT and the drama of Dijakovic versus Kross. We also discuss AEW and the debut of Eddie Kingston. We have an interesting discussion about non-wrestlers getting over. Then we celebrate Triple H’s birthday.

Shaun’s match of the week is a classic match between Shawn Michaels and Marty Jannetty from May of ’93. We also talk NXT and Dynamite. A match on Dynamite leads to a talk about when a wrestling match turns into a stunt show. Finally we get into Extreme Rules.

We dive into Fyter Fest night 2 and Great American Bash Night 2. We then delve into a match that we watched from PWG in 2011 between El Generico and Kevin Steen. Then we go further back in time and visit Great American Bash ’92 and the aftermath of that event.

We start out with discussing this date in wrestling history. The late June and early July time frame is jam packed with significant points in wrestling history. In particular 1996 seemed to have some very impactful events during that time. After that discussion we jump into Night 1 of Fyter Fest and Great American Bash. We wrap up our episode discussing two of the Undertaker’s most famous matches.

We recap Episode 5 of the Last Ride docuseries and discuss Undertaker’s retirement. Liz joins us for this episode.
