  • The Enduring Word of God with Carol McLeod | Wake Up Right

Best-selling author and speaker Carol McLeod joined us on Wake Up Right recently to tell us about her new Bible study titled Timeless: The Living and Enduring Word of God. In our conversation, you'll hear Carol's contagious joy, enthusiasm, and passion for God's Word. Carol shares how the book of 1 Peter, written nearly 2,000 years ago, is as practical, hopeful, and up-to-date as any book written today.

In this 9-week Bible study, Carol makes Scripture come to life as she vibrantly shares the culture of the day, her personal reflections, timely wisdom, and parallels to our modern lives. The study is a personal and rich conversation filled with theology, practical application, and hope. As you read and study you will quickly see the similarities between the challenges faced by the first-century church and today's church. • Start to Finish with Mark Dance | Wake Up Right

Pastors face daily demands of hitting targets of success in every area of life—for the long haul. How are pastors ever supposed to finish well? Pastor, author, and church planter Mark Dance joined us on Wake Up Right recently to discuss the very relevant topic of pastoral success, resilience, and burnout. Mark is the director of pastoral wellness at GuideStone Financial Resources, and in his new book, Start to Finish, he helps ministry leaders find guidance to run the race well from start to finish. He gives pastors a vision of what their lives and ministries could look like when they love the Lord with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength and love their neighbors as themselves. Mark desires to see pastors thriving in ministry in every season by strategically doing whatever it takes to stay healthy mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually.

Mark highlights how important it is to start with being a Great Commandment pastor, missionary, or minister before being a Great Commission pastor, missionary, or minister. Speaking from both his own experience and struggles, as well as observing others', Mark encourages pastors to take the very first step: simply asking for help. In Start to Finish, find guidance and encouragement–whether you're just beginning your ministry or have been in ministry thirty years–to serve well, lead well, and finish well.

  • The Old Made New Tour with Rich Vreeland | Wake Up Right

Rich Vreeland, co-owner of Vreeland's Harley-Davidson in Bloomsburg, PA, joined us on Wake Up Right recently to share how God changed the entire direction of his life starting with quitting his job and taking a cross-country road trip to help his brother detox. After opening a Harley-Davidson store in Bloomsburg, meeting his wife, and so much more, Rich trusted Christ through hearing the gospel during his time working with Nascar races through Motor Racing Outreach. Hearing and responding to the gospel changed his life and saved his marriage, and he began using motorcycling and racing as an open door for sharing the gospel.

On The Old Made New Tour Rich and Ray Vreeland are celebrating God's transforming work in their lives by riding restored 1946 and 1939 motorcycles across the country to California for two weeks beginning on June 14. Not only have the bikes have been made new, but even more, Rich and Ray have been made new. Rich and Ray intend to share the gospel as many times as possible along the way, which they also do at the annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in Sturgis, South Dakota through offering free oil changes. Follow along with The Old Made New Tour on Instagram (@rich6640) or on Facebook (Rich Vreeland).

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come," (2 Corinthians 5:17).

  • Patterns of Evidence with Tim Mahoney | Wake Up Right

Filmmaker Tim Mahoney joined us on Wake Up Right recently to tell us about the power of storytelling. Tim uses investigative filmmaking to share evidence that clarifies the consistency between the Bible and archeology. The most recent film, Patterns of Evidence: Journey to Mount Sinai II, will be in theaters on May 15 and May 17. Learn more and get tickets >

Patterns of Evidence is a documentary film series that travels through the Bible, investigating evidence of its historical credibility, the accuracy of its transmission through the centuries, and how it impacts the modern world. Timothy Mahoney is an award-winning investigative filmmaker, raised as a Christian, who now has the same question that many today are asking: Did the stories recorded in the Bible really happen? In this film series, he sets off to seek answers by traveling to the locations where biblical events are said to have happened. Along the way, he interviews leading archaeologists and scholars from all over the world who argue all sides of the debate about the credibility of the Bible. The biblical stories are retold, accompanied by dramatic reenactments and special effects. Patterns of Evidence lets the viewer draw their own conclusions as it takes them on a journey to the ancient world of the Bible. This refreshingly balanced approach is inspiring and intellectually challenging for both skeptics and believers alike, providing profound new evidence that affirms the Bible. Learn more >

  • Cancer, depression, and comeback with Dave Dravecky | Wake Up Right

Dave Dravecky was first thrust into the public spotlight when his career took off as a major league baseball pitcher. He was an All-Star pitcher for the San Diego Padres (’82–’87) and San Francisco Giants (’87–’89). Shortly after realizing this lifelong dream, Dravecky was diagnosed with cancer, a desmoid tumor, in the deltoid muscle of his pitching arm. Today, Dravecky shares his experiences and what he’s learned in hopes of inspiring others to find encouragement and hope, no matter what life throws at them.
