This one's all about reading - a commonality with all of the worlds high achievers, prominent leaders, CEOs etc is reading prolifically.

Also – I didn’t get round to this in the episode but reading can actually help you live longer. They did a big piece of research at Yale and found that people who read books for 30 minutes daily lived an average of 23 months longer than nonreaders or magazine readers. They say the practice of reading books creates cognitive engagement that improves lots of things, including vocabulary, thinking skills, and concentration. It also can affect empathy, social perception, and emotional intelligence, all of which helps people stick around on the planet for longer.

We also touch on some other methods for consuming books – outside of straight reading.

And then we delve into an amazing feller called Jim Kwik’s tips for working out how you can read a book a week – so in theory 52 books a year!
