Dr. Nikole Roebuck is the chair of the Music Department at GSU and the first Women to be named the Director of bands. Dr. Roebuck marched in the Grambling State World Famed band during her undergrad years. She continues to march the band to bigger and brighter places. She focus on life lessons to graduate the amazing hard working band members. HBCU Graduate from Prairie View A&M University Chelsi continued to study voice in the Meadows School of the Arts at Southern Methodist University under Barbara Hill-Moore and received vocal coaching from Jason Smith. While studying at Meadows School of the Arts she received principal and small principal roles for Opera Scene performances such as the “1st Lady” from Mozart’s “Die Zauberflöte”, “Sister Angelica” from Puccini’s “Suor Angelica”, “Bess” from “Porgy & Bess” by Gerswhin and many more.
