We all dream of having a career we're passionate about. But so many people put themselves into a track and passively wait for opportunities to come. This episode explores the intrepid career path of someone who took a stand for making a difference and never stopped evolving.

  1. Advocate for what you believe in. Even if it's not initially well received, keep going- you never know when your message will land with the right person.
  • View every "no" as a "not yet" and keep pursuing the way to get what you want accomplished.
  • There is a ripple effect that occurs when you inspire others to take action that will amplify your own work.
  • Everything is an equity issue- link what you are doing back to those who will be served by it.
  • No matter how much you achieve in your career, keep evolving. Never stop moving towards new opportunities.
  • Tell your story quantitatively. Facts are not subjective and help surface where there's work to be done.
  • No matter how great your message, if you don't connect with the people you want to help, it's like yelling into the wind.
