The Common Application has seven Personal Statements to choose from. In May, an optional question was added under the "Additional Information" section. Students can share, in 250 words or less, the effects COVID-19 had on them this past semester. In this episode I interview Irene Frazier, essay coach and English teacher of 30 years, on how to address this essay, as well as tips for brainstorming and drafting personal statements for this college application.
