WS1110: Sue Foley and Jake Ybarra

Listen Later

SUE FOLEY is an amazing guitarist. She’s a Canadian musical triple talent as a blues guitarist, singer and songwriter. With her painted fingernails, Sue strokes, strums, shakes and shimmies a six-string, unleashing a tone that doubles as her voice, loud, proud, and true. Her new acoustic solo album, ONE GUITAR WOMAN is a moving tribute to the female pioneers of guitar, the women whose music and lives delivered the inspiration and paved the way for those that followed.

JAKE YBARRA Texas-born is a brilliant, multifaceted Texas-born musician. His heartfelt and literary lyrics explore cinematic themes of love, loss, and the human experience, resonating with listeners on a deep emotional level. His debut album “Something In The Water” is full of heartfelt tales that display his story telling ability, that invite comparisons not only to his songwriting heroes but also to his favorite authors such as Ernest Hemingway.

WoodSongs Kids: Bluegrass Brothers are a family band from Salisbury, North Carolina.
