In 1979, eight men (in their 70s and 80s at that time) walked into a retreat that looked like 1959.  It was a research study done by Psychologist Ellen Langer called The Counterclockwise Study and it sent me straight down the rabbit hole after hearing about it this weekend. If you’ve ever wondered how much of ageing, confidence, and performance is biology versus belief, this story will mess with your assumptions in the best way. 

I unpack how the retreat was staged like a full time capsule, why the men were told to speak in present tense, and what changed when they fully “lived” as if it were decades earlier. Then I get real about the critiques: the sample size was small, reliability has been questioned, and it’s not a neat, perfect research package. Even with those limits, the idea lands hard because it matches what I’ve seen in my own life and with clients: your environment is always talking to you, and your self-talk and identity decide whether you move or stay stuck. 

From there, we turn the study into practical mindset coaching. We talk “be do have” and act-as-if without the fluff, why your pantry, media, and daily cues either reinforce your goal or sabotage it, and how aligning thoughts, actions, beliefs, and surroundings creates fast momentum. I also share a direct challenge: pick one daring, bold step and move now, today.

I talk about the Lionsgate Portal as being a reset point:  a manifestation window with peak energy on August 8 (8/8).  I’ll walk you through the roots of the tradition, including the ancient Egyptian connection to the Nile flooding and the idea of a fresh cycle, then translate it into a modern, practical approach you can actually follow.

I talk about the symbolism that makes this season hit different:  Leo season confidence and courage, paired with the number eight’s association with abundance, achievement, and material success.  I mean ... what a powerful combo, hey? 

I share a menu of Lions gate rituals and intention-setting tools you can choose from without spiraling into overwhelm: meditation, visualization, affirmations, gratitude, breathwork, oracle cards, crystal charging, and journaling prompts like “Who am I becoming?” and “What am I ready to release?” I also share how I use 888 Hz frequency music to lock in the “dream big” energy.

Then we go where most people forget to look:  your home.  If your space is full of clutter, broken items, and unfinished tasks, it can keep your subconscious anchored to who you used to be.  I’ll give you feng shui-inspired steps to shift the energy fast, starting with your front door (where opportunities enter), opening windows for fresh air, decluttering one complete area, fixing energy leaks like burnt-out bulbs, adding something alive, refreshing your bedroom, and checking your wealth corner (back left when you stand at the front door facing in).

Unfortunately, those thoughts are the sneaky bitches that keep us from achieving everything we've ever wanted.

And we didn't come to earth to play safe, small and then die.  We were given GIFTS and we are MEANT for abundance ... we just need to stop cock-blocking ourselves from achieving it.

In this episode I talk about the thought I have that keeps me from holding myself back and then I give you one of my favourite reprogramming strategies!!! 

Whether your goal is a new business, leaving a job, losing weight, or hitting consistent $10,000 months, the pattern is the same:  big dreams trigger limiting beliefs because your brain thinks safety equals staying the same.

You write your goal, dump every default negative thought it brings up, release it, and rewrite what you choose to believe instead. We also add the missing ingredient that turns mindset work into results: inspired action right away, even if it’s small. This is daily subconscious mind work, not a one-and-done, and it gets easier every time you prove the old story wrong.
