It's finally December and you know what that means, right? It's time for Jesus and Santa to take a long walk off a short pier! We're taking over the season with our annual HOLIDAY GIFT GUIDE! If you're new here, every December we put together a list of the best and most exclusive items to buy for anyone in your life. Friends, family, dead relatives, relatives you want dead; we got gifts for all of them! We even break it down into four categories (something Jesus never did): Video Games, Electronics, Lifestyle and of course Stocking Stuffers. So grab a pen and paper, some expired egg nog and of course your parent's credit card - ITS TIME TO SHOP!

Life twenty-five years ago was so much different. Boy bands were huge, phones were huge and even video games were huge - some even needed 2 discs to run! But is every video game we are nostalgic for ACTUALLY any good now? On today's bonus episode we talk underrated and overrated video games that released on PS1, N64 and even PC in the post-Y2K and pre-9/11 utopia known as the year 2000!

Mustaches. Every guy has grown one at some point in their life thinking they look cool when really it's the nastiest thing ever. And that doubly applies to video games. Hell, one famous mascot has never even washed his since 1983, and we're supposed to be ok with that? Who else is guilty of this hairy crime? On today's bonus episode in honor of Movember we decided to check out some famous and famously gross mustaches in videogames. Sonic, Halo, Pokemon - if they had crap above their lips, we mentioned it!

What do Freddy Krueger and Jason Voorhees have in common besides terrible skin and the inability to find success past the 1980's? They also both had insanely difficult Nintendo games based off their movies. So in the spirit of Halloween we decided to do the scariest thing we can think of - we played them! Join us as we explore the retro hellscape of "A Nightmare on Elm Street" (1990) and "Friday the 13th" (1989) while talking about trivia, reviews and even songs inspired by these two ugly horror icons. Ever since the dawn of Atari, Hollywood has refused to acknowledge the gaming industry and welcome them to any lavish ceremonies. Take Mario for example: every year since 1983 he gives an Oscar-worthy performance pretending he's still a plumber and for what? We think it's a crime that video games get snubbed during award season so of course we took it upon ourselves to create an award show for them! On today's bonus episode we nominated real games that sound fake and gave them fake awards that sound real. Let's get ready to red carpet rumble!

Where were you when you first heard Creed's 'Higher'? No one wants to admit it but that is pretty much the millennial version of "where were you on 9/11?" except cooler and with a tank top. In 1999, Creed was the biggest band on the planet then slowly people just stopped caring. In 2007 another creed took the world by storm but within a few years also had people scratching their heads saying "why did I like this again?". We are of course talking about the long running video game franchise ASSASSIN'S CREED. Join us as we track the trajectory of both creeds and see what happened. We get into made-up history, Scott Stapp rumors, hidden blades, albums that sound better quiet, and much more.

The Beatles were arguably one of the greatest bands of all time. The Nintendo 64, was arguably...uh, not a great console. So what do these two have in common? Nothing besides the fact that there is a Beatles song from 1967 called "When I'm Sixty-Four" and honestly that's good enough. Join us as we go over N64 games that have the actual number "64" in the title! Super Mario, Wave Race, StarFox, Duke Nukem and much more! After being away for 3 months we are finally back and we have SO much to talk about! Jk, we haven't done sh*t. But we do think this is the perfect moment to reintroduce ourselves for new or old fans. But after that the episode is up for grabs! What video games have we been playing all summer? Did we see Deadpool & Wolverine? When did we get in trouble for talking about Mortal Kombat "nude" codes? How do we personally know Sabrina Carpenter AND Bart Simpson? Out of context some of these questions seem like nonsense and honestly the answers are even worse. So we have good news and bad news for you. The good news is you're about to listen to a new episode that includes original songs so hot that your phone will probably explode. The bad news is this will be the last episode before we go on a break - our first break since 2020! This year we vibed like it was 1984, made a bracket for march madness, forced ourselves to watch a bad cartoon and burned our mouths with hot sauce. After all that wouldn't you need a break too? HOT ONES is a show where celebrities are interviewed over a platter of increasingly spicey chicken wings while being asked questions that probably make them nervous. Sounds like fun! On today's spicey bonus episode, we take a page out of Sean Evans' book and try out some chili-induced liquid while trying not to seem uncomfortable. We didn't have any famous people, but we did find a list of the hottest video game characters on the internet, so that's more than enough to make things awkward. Forget gaming - it's READY PLAYER HOT ONES time!
