Members of EZRA stopped by WTJU to go track by track through the group's latest album, Froggy's Demise, out now on Adhyâropa Records.

On the April 29th edition of Ye Olde Tuesday Afternoon Rocke Show, Andrew explored a pivotal moment in Charlottesville’s cultural history: Sly and the Family Stone’s 1973 performance at University Hall.​

The conversation drew from the short film How Can I Ever Be Late (2017), co-directed by Claudrena N. Harold, Edward Stettinius Professor of History and African American Studies at UVA, and filmmaker Kevin Jerome Everson. The film captures the arrival of Sly and the Family Stone in Charlottesville, highlighting the anticipation and significance of the event for the African American student community at UVA.​

Harold’s broader work examines African American history, Black student activism at UVA, and the transformative power of Black music. Her collaborations with Everson, including How Can I Ever Be Late, are part of the Black Fire film series, which documents the experiences and contributions of Black students and faculty at UVA.​
