Scientist Tyraine Ragsdale, known by his DJ name as Master Scientist Grand Hank, is finalizing his upcoming science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) center on 501 E. Armstrong Street in Germantown. It's known as the Grand Hank STEM Center for Youth.

He joined Dr. Peterson to discuss his motivation to start the Grand Hank STEM Center for Youth and his vision for it.

Dr. Theri Pickens is a Professor of English at Bates College and specializes in African American, Arab American and disability literatures and theories.

She joined Dr. Peterson for this week's Tuesday teach-in segment to discuss her coursework, and her debut poetry collection “What Had Happened Was”.

Pastor Bryan Loritts is the author of “Grace to Overcome”, a spiritual and historical journey interweaving the rich tapestry of Black history with the profound narratives of the Bible.

Crafted by Pastor Loritts, “Grace to Overcome” is a collection of 31 devotions that bring to life the stories of figures who have helped shape society, from musicians like Miles Davis to inventors like Alice H. Parker, each story is an inspiring testimony of resilience and faith.

Chioma Okoronkwo is the general manager of City Fitness, a Philadelphia community fitness club and brand that cultivates community fitness experiences that inspire people to dig deep and realize their potential. At City Fitness, she has led innovative community programming and brand activations that merge wellness with culture, driving both engagement and growth.

Tyrique Glasgow is an anti-violence advocate and community leader based in South Philadelphia, known for transforming his life experience into a mission of hope and opportunity. After surviving being shot 11 times and serving a five-year prison sentence in his twenties, he returned to his Grays Ferry neighborhood determined to make a difference.

Angela Brooks is Philadelphia’s Chief Housing & Urban Development Officer, a new position created to shepherd her initiative to preserve and create 30,000 housing units in the city.

Brooks' work in recent years has centered around how reducing regulatory barriers can increase housing supply. Parker also signed an executive order formalizing her housing initiative H.O.M.E., which stands for Housing Opportunities Made Easy.

She joined Dr. Peterson to discuss the Mayor’s H.O.M.E Initiative and PHDC’s upcoming Housing Fair.
