Tuesday Gordon is a manager/ buyer for “Joan Shepp”: a fashion boutique located in Center City Philadelphia, that has been in existence for over 50 years. This shop features unique and fun pieces from Italian designer Seletti, dreamy interior accessories, and bedding from Kevin O'Brien Studio, local art, and more.

Tuesday joins the show to talk about an event Joan Shepp is having on Feb. 19th from 4-7pm, “Woman of Substance & Style” 25th anniversary, an event that highlights the Black women who have influenced growth and prosperity in their communities. Proceeds from the event will benefit Evoluer House helping disadvantaged teen girls of color since 2004.

On the evening of February 7th, 2025, WURD hosted an event at the Philadelphia Museum of Art of art to highlight some of the most distinct writers in the Philadelphia region, discuss various reading selections, and to highlight the importance of expression and storytelling within the Black community. The event was titled, "Phenomenal Black Philly Writers: Creating Our Essential Reading List to Survive 2025". This event featured a panel of Philadelphia-based writers including author Lorene Cary, playwright Nancy Gilliam, cultural writer Tre Johnson, columnist/author/ WURD Host Solomon Jones, author/ spoken word poet Ursula Rucker, WURD CEO Sara Lomax, and legendary poet & educator Sonia Sanchez.
