Joy Reid is an author, political commentator and television host. Ms. Reid was a national correspondent for MSNBC and is best known for hosting the political commentary program The ReidOut from 2020 to 2025; and now hosts “The Joy Reid Show” live from her YouTube channel.

She joined Dr. Peterson to discuss the recent war that has started between the United States, Israel and Iran, and the significance of the 2026 midterm elections.

Kimberly McCaffrey is the Senior Vice President of Youth and Young Adult Services at JEVS Human Services, who works with individuals to create sustainable paths to independence and economic security. Marcus Hall is from the Philadelphia Works and Cydney Irving-Dasent is from the City of Philadelphia Office of Children and Family.

Tyler Bey and Philadelphia's own Phillip Brown are both a part of the "Rare Accidents: The Escapades of Prince Hal and Falstaff" play. Tyler is a New York based actor who leads the production as Prince Hal. Phillip Brown is staring as his father, King Henry IV.

Dr. Erin Bailey currently serves as the Vice President of Literacy Programs and Research at Reading is Fundamental (RIF), the nation’s leading children’s literacy nonprofit. They focus on disrupting the U.S. literacy crisis by bringing the joy of reading to children to create skilled readers. (RIF has reached more than 237 million children and distributed 430+ million free books across all 50 states and U.S. territories.)

For National Reading Month, two legacy organizations - Reading Is Fundamental & Stauffer’s, an animal cracker company, are partnering to promote early childhood reading and expand access to books nationwide. The partnership includes the launch of a new children’s book inspired by one of the playful Simply Animals character, Bryson’s Rocket Riddles. Twenty percent of book proceeds will support RIF’s literacy programs, helping put books into the hands of children who need them most.

Dr. Bailey joins the show to talk about the partnership with Stauffer's and to also discuss why early reading is critical to a child’s development and lifelong success.

Dr. Veronica Jarido is a practicing gastroenterologist in rural Tennessee. Currently, she is transitioning to her role as an independently contracted physician. Her interests include health equity, improving access to care in rural and impoverished communities, and patient education without medical jargon.

In honor of March being colorectal cancer awareness month, Dr. Veronica joins the show to discuss the importance of building awareness for colorectal cancer and how people can go about preventing this illness.
