A Monroe County mother is using her own grief and heartache to call for legislation that would put more focus on teenagers and their mental health. Lesa Comerzan will never forget June 17, when her 16-year-old daughter, Faith — a student at Airport Community High School — was shot and killed by her boyfriend, who then took his own life.
WWJ's Pat Vitale spoke with Comerzan who has started a change.org petition for the F.A.IT.H. Act, which stands for Firearm Assessment and Intervention for Teen Health.
