Two men who posed as DTE workers to enter a Rochester Hills home were sentenced to life without parole for killing 72-year-old Hussein Murray. Prosecutors say they lured him to the basement, attacked him, and bound his wife during a robbery. Investigators tied both men to the scene through DNA and video evidence. After a year-long transformation, the Michigan Science Center is ready to unveil its bold new vision for space education.

The newly renovated planetarium opens to the public this Friday — marking a major milestone in the center's "Hyperspace Initiative." President and CEO Dr. Christian Greer says the project is about inspiring the next generation of innovators. He spoke with WWJ's Dan Jenkins.

A life ring from the Edmund Fitzgerald, the Great Lakes freighter that sank 50 years ago, will be auctioned in Detroit this month. The orange life ring washed onto the Lake Superior shore after the Fitzgerald sank off the coast of Whitefish Bay on November 10th, 1975.
