The County Road Progress Report finds that last year fell short for yearly improvement goals. WWJ's Ryan Wrecker spoke with Ed Noyola, Chief Deputy and Legislative Director of the County Road Association of Michigan.

A homeowner in White Lake Township shot at teens allegedly breaking into his garage, killing one and injuring another. As prosecutors review the case, the key question is whether the shooting was self-defense or excessive force. Charges against the homeowner remain under consideration. WWJ's Tim Pamplin spoke with local firearms and legal experts.

20 young athletes from Olympia Taekwondo in Commerce Township competed at the 2025 AAU Taekwondo national championship in Salt Lake City, Utah. They came away with 28 gold, 21 silver, and 12 bronze medals. Coach Alexander Covert spoke with WWJ's Jon Hewett

After deputies searched about 40 acres on foot and with drones for hours Saturday night, but never found him, the search is essentially being called off for missing person, 85-year-old Jerry Spaulding. In a message out Wednesday, Livingston County Sheriff Mike Murphy asked the public to of course keep an eye out, but please stop any organized search.

Disaster Relief at Work, also known as DRAW, has a warehouse in Waterford. They're no stranger to emergency responses and will be helping the Texas Hill Country. Over 100 bodies have been recovered so far, and over 160 remain missing. WWJ's Taylor Dietz talked to the Director of DRAW, Greg Martin, about relief efforts.

After 20 years the TSA appears to be allowing your shoes to stay on when passing through airport security checkpoints. While CLEAR, and TSA Pre customers already get to leave their shoes on, now it seems all the rest will too. WWJ' Tim Pamplin went to see if the changes had made it to DTW.
