Here it is the official St. Patrick's Day Paddy Rockers. Truth be told I wasn't going to do one this year. Iam not trying to pander for sympathy, but on Feb 25 my mother passed from cancer. It's not been easy to deal with, and even harder being an only child doing it on your own. Though one thing about my mom was she was fiery! She'd never let me mope or feel sorry for myself. So while it was a struggle, here it is a tribute to my mom and a little show for St. Patrick's Day.  Loaded full of standards and some new classics! Well it's St. Patrick's Day month and its one I will never forget. March this year saw my world fall mostly apart. Started with the death of my mum and the aftermath that ensued. It's been a hard one to turn around, but music helps.  But unfortunately St. Patrick's Day this year has taken another hit.  I will do what I can, but it won't be all that I want. Hopefully given a year, things can turn around. But for now I will spin tunes and wonder to myself how much more can I take? So while I love 80's punk, I really got my start in the 90's. Some of the first stuff I got into was Pennywise and NOFX, there was of course some shitty poppy stuff that ultimately commercialized the fuck out of punk, but that's beef for someone else to chew on. So today's show we have a fat slab of 90's tunes and a sprinkling of everything in between. Well here we are 3 weeks into the New Year and you already have 2 killer shows to dig into! This week is pretty much straight up punk again. This is music like I remember it. Punk like I remember it when I was a youth. Coming from a small town in Canada my ideas were not always the sharpest, but music helped me. I remember going to Dr. Disc in Windsor Ontario and picking up copies of the Metro Times from Detroit - Talk about an education. In the 80's and 90's learning about new music was not so easy and leaving your mark was even harder. Lot's of the of the bands on today's shows came from those days. Some newer and younger folks still rock it that way and props to them, its not easy! Season 22, Episode #1  Well another year down the crapper some may say, and some day I might be apt to agree with them! But for all of its bullshit 2022 has been not a bad year for music, and for personal growth as well. Though I am not sad to see it in the rearview mirror despite it making me another year older. So before I introduce the show, welcome to the new site. I need to apply some spit and polish to it, but this should allow me to post more shows in a more timely manner. I am going to try to upload some of the old content, like the St. Poguetricks Day episode, and some of the root shows. So without further ado, I have long time been raving about how amazing Aussie Celtic Punk is, and that has not changed.  But I have really been getting into Aussie Punk and Oi! as well, because it's amazing.
