Psalm 24 - The Lord is King

Why does Jesus perform the same sequence of events? Why did it take so long to heal the blind man? Why do even believers continue to act in selfish ways? Why does our faith sometimes seem to grow so slowly, or move backwards? And, what do we do about all of it? 

We need regular encounters with Jesus to help us learn and re-learn what is means to follow him.

In Mark 7:24-30, is Jesus being a jerk? How do we reconcile Jesus's apparent refusal to heal with the "whosoever" of the gospel? 

Put aside your tribalism and recognize that we all need Jesus

We need Jesus to forgive our rebellion (and he has the authority to do so)

Jesus comforts and confronts our world, often through the same act

We want to bring Jesus along on our journey, but calls us to join his journey

Jesus, as a human, did what humans should have done, so that he can save us from our failure

What does nature tell us about God? How else do we learn about God? How does this knowledge change us?
