1 hr 21 min - Wyverns and Weirdos Halloween Special 2019 - The Lightless Beacon
In this Halloween Special, Laura (Bertie) takes the rest of the cast of Wyverns & Weirdos's 1920s Investigators through a Call of Cthulhu adventure.
"It is the evening of April 12, 1926 - the dark, stormy night of a new moon - and for their separate reasons our investigators have come to board a small first-class night ferry from Dover, UK to Calais, France. Unfortunately for them, the sea has other plans..." Further info on the adventure: The Lightless Beacon, written by Leigh Carr, with development and additional material by Lynne Hardy. This is a free adventure as part of We Are All Us to honor founder Greg Stafford's legacy and passing. [Content Warnings: Mild gore/death, very mild references to past experienced homophobia, references to attempted suicide] Note from Laura - Some of the (spoilers) combat rules are a little screwy here since I'm still new at playing keeper - my bad! I trust you'll still find the story enjoyable. 🐙

About Wyverns and Weirdos
From the publisher's feed
Welcome to the world of Fielor! Wyverns & Weirdos is a d&d actual play collective of multiple running adventures - currently…
"Fathomless", updating Mondays, & "The Journey Home", updating Sundays. Join the Weirdos today!
We have 1 finalised and 2 current running campaigns right now airing during the week:
- 𝗠𝗢𝗡𝗗𝗔𝗬𝘀 𝗔𝗘𝗦𝗧: "𝙁𝙖𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙢𝙡𝙚𝙨𝙨" - A home-brew longform campaign featuring a group of our regulars in a rotating cast take to the high seas for episodic adventure and mayhem in the Iallic Isles, set 15 years after the conclusion of W&W: Corruption.
- 𝗦𝗔𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗗𝗔𝗬𝘀 𝗔𝗘𝗦𝗧: "𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙅𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙣𝙚𝙮 𝙃𝙤𝙢𝙚" - A slightly more combat-heavy campaign following official D&D adventures (starting with Curse of Strahd) with a cast just trying to find their way back to their material plane, set over 100 years in Fielor's past.
Our first original and now COMPLETED Campaign "Corruption" followed an accidental group of weirdos looking for work, redemption, and (hopefully) lots of money: featuring a blunt Wood Elf Rogue with troubled past, a cheerful and easygoing Tabaxi Artificer far from home, a chatty money-hungry Eladrin snake oil salesman ““Cleric””, a reserved Barbarian Fire Genasi bounty hunter with a vendetta, a naïve and noble Fighter with Magical Issues, and a Tiefling Bard resistance spy who just wants to be an actor. Along the way they deal with ominous dreams, controlling outside forces, corruption, love, death and - ultimately - healing. Plus sometimes there's mayonnaise.
Thank You to our Patrons! Jennifer Crow, Jessie, Laura
