Worship is more powerful than that and it leads us into the presence of a God who can give us victory in every situation we face. It might not change our outcome, but it will surely change our perspective.

In the middle of uncertainty as Jacob leaves his home to an unknown future, God meets him in the middle of nowhere. There he gets a vision of God and hears the promise of God for his presence. We need the presence of God more than anything. It’s God’s presence that brings healing and power and blessing. God’s presence isn’t confined to a building... His presence goes with US wherever we go.

We often long to go back to what we romanticize not what we remember. What if in this season God wants to bring us into something better? We can never fully embrace what God is trying to do in us right now if we keep trying to go back to what is normal. At the same time, when we move forward into the NEW that He has – he reminds us to forget the past, but remember Him.
